Wow! You must already have some incredible life my dear, for it to 'only' make your *day*!!
....to one day be able to dance a tango like this, with SUCH PASSION & flair, with ANY girl, will CERTAINLY make MY day!!
Be she big, small, old, young, drop-dead-gorgeous, or not, doesn't matter....all women have a beauty...especially when they smile....when they smile.....U can see such *real* beauty... :)

superb scene form a brilliant movie --as an ex-soldier who dances a lot, including tango, I loved this. Equally good is the scene where he rips the snotty college and explains integrity and honour to them.
I understand Pacino spent a bit of time artificially "blind" to get into role.
Even if I watch this scene 1000 I'll still get emotional. The scene is absolutely brilliant. Al Pacino is the embodiment of confidence and charm.... the little laughs of the woman show the hidden excitement of the moment and.... the asshole in the end (Mike) shows how dull relationships can get.... Adios.
great movie great actor great everything but... why he is so nice and generous with people like the prostitute and this girl he dances with, but with his family is such and assssssssss?
because we test them.... and family is the only thing in this world which we have one tru right to test. To throw tantrums, cause anyone else won't tolerate them. Which is why we love our family the most. Pronto.
who slackens just down the stretch", they mean a horse race that was lost by little, but as the hole song, it refers to a flirtatious woman (maybe an easy woman) that leaves the author and tells him that he shouldn't believe on her and try to forget her, but every time he sees such a beauty he bets on it again
Thanks very much for your explaination! makes me laugh, it reveiled such a simple truth: people are easily fell by physical appearence and playful flirtations. It is sad, but so true....
what's love? Is love supposed to be short-lived? Would you dance with a flirtatious and cheerful woman for 5 minutes of your life, or live in a simple life with an ordianry girl? It's a choice, people take chances, and 'some people live in a life time in a minute'. A charming tango, and beautiful music. Thanks for sharing!
(ps:do you still listen to this song when you walk some blocks on your way to Caminito?)
flyby asshole if u gonna say something lame about it dont post a comment then asshole al pacino's only been learning tango for 2 months i dont mean to be a name dropper but thats a fact
The tango is called By The Head of a Horse, it says: "Losing by a head of a noble horse who slackens just down the stretch and when it comes back it seems to say: don't forget brother, You know, you shouldn't bet. Losing by a head, instant violent love of that flirtatious and cheerful woman who, swearing with a smile a love she's lying about, burns in a blaze all my love".
Yes kong001122 !! This poetry is the lyric from the tango that sounds while they dance, little sad but also deep, a song that I used to hear very often walking some blocks on my way to Caminito, Buenos Aires.
On top I wrote: Beautiful as every woman that inspires a compositor, who writes a tango only thinking on the moment he'll dance it with her.
al pacino, one of my 3 favourite actors! the beauty of his role in this movie is that, despite the fact he likes to make people think he's a complete jerk, that uses kind'a dirty language, he actualy is very profound, sensitive inside. a true gentleman. the tango scene is one of the most delicate, romantic and passionate scene in a movie.
and charlie is a cutie too, i'd like to have a friend like him. (blush) lol!
I too love that whole scene; the dancing was incredible. I wonder, did they really do it? Anyway, you know how there are times when you hear a certain piece of musc that automatically reminds you of certain situations? Well the music in the tango scene did that to me. It was my favorite scene and every time I hear that piece it brings me back.
Sin duda la mejor actuacion de Pacino, la mejor frase en la historia del cine "A veces vives tu vida en un instante", y toda la escena en si es simplemente increible
but this tango is G-R-E-A-T. i'm from Argentina, however I don't like many tangos, but this is simply terrific, "Por una cabeza" del gran Carlos Gardel xD

"Coquetta" is obviously where we get the English noun "coquette" and the adjective "coquettish" from.
