I mostly stick to Japanese when it comes to anime. (as in the voice actors), but this is one of the few exceptions I make. The English voice acting is awesome. Watanabe even had actors from Bebop return to do voices in this. Awesome both ways.

There is, and it's quite good. It feels more right with japanese speakins Samurais. and the actors are perfect in the original.. but the dub is pretty good, not done in a hurry and professional to the core.

Those two are my favourites, since they are more mature than many animes. but would recomend cheking out Trigun, Hellsing, Mushishi, and Ghost in the Shell (both the movies and the series.)

Haven't finnished Afro Samurai jet, but it looked great. I must watch it soon. I've seen some weird and gory ones but forgotten the name. I have to get really into the story to watch an anime all the way through. The gore vary much, some of the most violent animes might be really unmature, the Japanese ain't makeing to much fuzz about a few limbs flying, lol. Have you seen Death Note yet? It's not the most mature perhaps, but the story was really original and it sucked me right in.
