Hi there fellow audiophile,nice and lovely set up,I see BAT,Electrocompaniet,Pass and second from the bottom rack what looks like a Plinius.Is the Teres plinth , DIY?I got their brass bearing but can't find an acrylic platter and Chris at Teres no longer makes them ,only coccobolo ones.Enjoy your system

second from bottom is a Pass phono pre i think its called Aliph Ono or something...i can't remember it was bought in 2002. I bought the Teres acrylic platter from Chris back when he used to make them in 2002.

the turntable is made in the U.S by a company called Teres Audio .

i can't remember what the model number is. i bought it about 8 years ago.

Nice system but ill-matching cosmetically. The TT and arm (unnamed :which ones?) walnut type wood is nice, but the support shelves look like something from a DIY store, negating the effect of a neatly-made and clearly expensive rack. As for the colour of the wood finish of the speakers... pass the bucket, Alice! The TT set-up is pretty good cconsidering the limitations of video/sound quality, but needs to lose that bling-acrylic finsh pronto for a more Clearaudio frosted or totally clear style.

but there is some merit to your criticism still.

i was a lot younger when i set this system up and i cared more about the sound than the looks of it....i still love my Talon speakers though and if you saw or listened to them in person i don't think you would want to vomit :)

Dear deiv800405.It was a bit of constructive criticism which you've reacted to a mite defensively. If you put pictures of anything into the public domain, then you've got to accept that some people might have different (cosmetic) tastes. I did say that I could hear the quality of the system coming through nonetheless. I'm sure too that the Talons are wonderful-sounding - I just don't much like beige-coloured wood!! By the way, I was a real diplomat....! Cheers

well deamn, the only noise i can detect is the one comming from the video camera distorting the highs and gathering air from the ambience! that system is perfect.

the system is really nice only thing that i hate is the room. wood floors and framing and drywall sounds horrible in comparison to anything more solid like concrete.

yes it's a Teres Audio table bought in 2002 and new shelter cartridge (cleaning lady "cleaned off" the stylus on my old shelter cartridge). Pass Labs amp and phono pre amp and Balanced Audio Technology main pre amp, Talon Khorus speakers which i love. thanks .
