To comment on the video though, I am really torn between hoping she is really doing better, and suspecting she is trying to make positive career moves, and nothing more. I thought she was quite a talent as a child, but history shows how that can twist some people.

Hollywood didn't do this to her. She actually has an addictive personality. Her biological mother was a big addict. Even with the care and love of a good family, she still was drawn into drugs and alcohol. Meth destroyed her first marriage and she continuously used the drugs over and over again.
When celebrities deal with addiction, and get clean and sober, they are given a special mission to help others in the same position. Because of their "celebrity," they are able to touch a large number of addicts in society and inspire them to change as well.
I don't look down on her for being addicted. I look down on her for trying it the first time.
But really I just feel bad when I hear stories like this. Meth is the most physically addictive drug next to crack and heroin. I know a few meth addicts.. And a few people whose parents are meth addicts. They're not doing so good.
