@MegaSilverburst They were kick ass as the Clone Troopers, but Lucas has made them weak and blind in The Original Trilogy, so they were missing shoots. You know...Star Wars is missing some plot parts.

@TheScumper My guess would be that successive cloning over so many generations has caused a degradation in the end product. This would explain the difference between the original clone troopers and the storm troopers over 20 years later.

@Brittonsp - In the graphic novels that followed the three new movies, there is a story that shows Boba Fett stealing the clone DNA template the Empire wanted to use for it's stormtrooper program. He replaced it with something else, less quality than the Jango Fett sample, which is why (apparently) stormtroopers are quite stupid! There is also reference in later novels about the Imperial troops wearing white in a jungle! But with all the tech available to them, uniform colour wouldn't be vital!

Um. Weapons and armor would be pretty much equal. They both have infrared displays. They're all highly trained, albeit in different ways. I think this comes down to numbers.
