How does he do it? How does he find songs that aren't his yet are so perfect for him to perform? Also, on a side note, why is Carmine wearing an eyepatch? LOL.
@jennincl - Agreed, sort of. Joe Bananas doesn't mean a thing to me, but The Who has competitors from their era, when the innovation was happening in rock guitar music. Don't get me wrong, The Who's talents are among the most formidable in rock, but I would've loved to have seen Rory Gallagher, Jimmy Hendrix, and many others equally when they were at their peak. Imagine some of those early Chuck Berry shows, if you want to go back further.
Saw Joe and the band perform this and many others tunes last night in El Paso, Texas and the beautiful Plaza theater. The theatre wasn't sold out, but three fourths full of rousing Bonamassa fans who stood and danced through most of the show. I dug the way Joe stood on the drum riser, playing right in the face of the drummer during this song. Awesome performance, great light show, insane crowd.
I got to see him do this one live once, and it was just about my favorite, not on any of his cd's so it was a treat for me, he was back and forth with Carmine (who has an eyepatch here) and it was electric, love the energy!
Been a fan of The Who for 29 years, only discovered Joe Bonamassa this year but I am blown away by his talent.. I went to see him in Birmingham 31- 5-10 and loved his version of this song.

Sorry, but you'll never come close to Pete, Roger, John and Moonie. No one will.

Fantastic! Damn...He playing an Ibanez "lawsuit" Explorer! I had a chance to buy one a few years ago, but passed. Big mistake.
