GM, please start selling real cars, like this one, and stop relying on all those marxist cockamamie schemes! Start making cars people want to buy, for godsakes!! If you can make 'em in Europe, why not here? Americans have more money than Eurosocialists anyway. Why sell the Cobalt instead of Astra? Or do the Unions think those cars would require real work and attention to detail?
if GM was smart, they would bring this car over to the U.S. ASAP! switch it out for the Malibu, or just ditch saturn and replace it with the Opel brand.
well the new passat cc and this one are very nice. and i saw 2weeks ago vw sirocco a white one on the road..... one peace wonderfull metal. greets Amsterdam
i tried the 160 hp diesel this weekend. great car, very smooth ride, and extremely comfortable. the 1,6 petrol, however, was dissapointingly slow. im gonna buy it in february. i really recomend it
Vauxhall/Opel cars over the years have just got better and better! The new Insignia has just won European Car Of The Year..you dont get that for nothing!
Perfect!!! I drive Opel, my Astra never had a problem for 2 years I bought. I would like to have Insignia, I like it to much, very good design.Go ahead OPEL
i've been thinking about purchasing this vehicle. Unfortunately there's no proper diesel engine that would make any sense form me. If they want to compete with premium they need to put somthing with power in there. I'm seriously disapointed and definitely not buying this vehicle with 160bhp engine, which is actually some kind of joke i suppose (veneric vectra had 188bhp diesel).a lot of noise, beautiful car but completely useless for me and many others.can't even compete with avensis d4d (177bhp
Buying a diesel today is totaly stupid thing unless you like the tractor sound and vibrations. New turbocharged petrol engines rule. They are fast, smooth, silent, low fuel consumption, lower price at start, and petrol price = diesel price.
I would buy this vehicle with that newly developed petrol 2.0 turbo engine (or 1.8? not sure...) which will produce 200-220 hp. Now that will be a beast. But of course, I would need to buy 4 wheel drive system too, no point having this power in FWD car.

DONT BUY A VAUXHALL INSIGNIA! Just think of the depreciation you will suffer over 3 years losing over 50%. Fix your motoring costs and do what many Americans have been doing for years and years, LEASE it! Visit gmcleasing co uk and see the vauxhall insignia and many hundreds of other great deals.
il like the way opel have positoned the insignia beside a beat out Fiat on Wiki? Can any1 say what year and model it is? must b 20yrs older at least? cum on opel ur better then this??? thats why im changing to an Audi, also the that Bosch fuel pump doesnt care for ribena!lol x
Nice motor hi! Drive an 02 2.0dti vectra, had no problems with her great car! But il naw be buyin Insignia, u hav 2 move up in the world il wait on the newest A4 when im buying 140bhp,wait til im 25!
I have a Vectra C with 237,000 miles (or 381,404 kilometers) on the clock and the biggest problem its given so far is the turbo vaccum pipe breaking.... a fairly cheap repair.
Apart from general servicing from time to time i've never really needed to change or repair much on the vectra.
Hell i still own and drive a '94 Vectra A (vauxhall cavalier), more or less the same story. Apart from i've modded the vectra A to suite my tastes
american car industry is waaaay too retarded to make a car even close to this one, in any field. american desing (hummm, whats that?),american electrics (ok...), american engines (lolololol v8 with 100hp), reliability (hahah, it makes me laugh when even thinking about it)
So what you dumbfuck?! THis car was invented, desinged, developed, and will be made by europan people ONLY, and no americans from GM were involved in making of this car. Thats why its so good. Learn something before you write moron.
@tHeWasTeDyouTH. do you you know how the american car industry sounds like since 40 years ? "we've created someting entirely new... a new 4 L engine with astonishing 90 HP..." thats how it sounds to me... but nevermind you're way too stupid to understand this...

american reliability
POMPOM223 3 years ago
America doesn't make opel/vauxhall these cars are made from Germany (Rüsselsheim)
Designed in Europe
Electronics are electronics it doesnt matter
(Apple is American yet alot of people like their product [iPods] american electronics)
Engines were designed in Europe to meet euro 5 standards
Reliability we dont know as it very new model
so if opel is so american why don't you see the opel corsa (new model) in America reliability: why don't i see any opel vehicles break down lately.
