  • @EviLMuska what size box is it? cubic feet wise.. and can we see it ?? looks like that shit hits hard, im getting a 12" Type R and Kenwood/MTX/Alpine 600RMS amp soon

  • song?

  • u hittin real hard home boy...wat kinda amp yu have?

  • @MrTodd405 600w Alpine.

  • Thats insane! Sub in my car is only like 300W

  • how much rms watts u got going into it?

  • excellent video man, nice to see it in HD. I'm thinking about putting the same sub and amp set up in my camaro. Would you recommend it ?

    ps. domestic cars !

  • I WANNA C THE BOX!!!

  • if i were to get the duel 4ohm 12inch type r, would i be able to bridge it down to 2 ohm for the mono amp i have??

  • ahahaah damm that shit shaking violently!! ur shit slaps way harder than mine and i got the same sub!!

  • how is your box made? sealed or ported? and how big. im deff gettin a type r and i want that shit to bump hard like yours

  • Your gonna blow that sub man. You shouldn't really use bass enhancements on your headunit with a sub. That means no loudness feature, no superbass EQ (leave it flat), and I'd leave the bass level at 0. Using those things, especially all at once on a bass heavy track at loud volumes will certainly distort it and then kill it.

  • if the sub maxes out at 1500w and I'm only pushing 600w at the loudest, then how am i gunna blow it? It could be running DOUBLE the watts it is now and still not be truly maxed out.

  • That's not how it works. I suggest you read up about subs and distortion. That is unless you want to blow it...

  • ok if you say so.

  • NO, he's right. You want to give the sub a clear signal and let the amp and sub do all the work. Jacking up the incoming signal can really mess up your system; it's not about the power going to the sub.

  • @EviLMuska not trying to be a dick but he is right, u can be pushing 200w to a sub but if its all dirty watts it will blow the sub

  • @upsessedwithbass And yet 2 years later my sub is still fine. *shrugs*

  • @EviLMuska your kinda stupid. its not always power that kills the sub. when using bass enhancements, it can causes distortion in the sub. when your sub is distorting, that means your voicecoils and tinsil leads are getting VERY hot. when the tinsil leads get hot, they can break off from the terminals or voicecoils.

  • @EviLMuska wow you have no idea do you

  • @Nirvalica i always ride with EQ at "off" but you say to leave the bass level at 0.. so what if i want to have louder bass but dont want to turn up the volume of the song? do i just need an amp control knob thingy that goes to the dash..

  • @iGOTCHOPPERS1 Well, I guess if you leave the music volume low, you could turn the bass level up a few notches. Just be careful. An amp control knob would only let you turn the bass down.

  • @Nirvalica thanks thats what i do with my Sony headunit, 2 Rockford Fosgate P1 12s and shitty azz 600watt SPL amp now.. but im selling everything as a package and getting a Type R 12 building a custom box for it and im not sure what amp.. any suggestions.. im thinking Kenwood KAC-9105D, MTX 600XD/JH600 or Alpine MRP-500 i wanna alot of power to it since i can only fit 1 sub.. 03 Mustang Cobra vert

  • @iGOTCHOPPERS1 I'd get something that can put out about 600wrms at the right impedance for your sub. I had a hifonics on my type R and it was good. An alpine amp would be good, but they are kind of pricey. Kicker amps are pretty good. They make a 500w and a 750w. It really just depends how much you want to spend on an amp. Message me and I'll help you out.

  • hey HOOGIE lol i finaly seen ur toutube shit haha ur so lame lol u recorded ur subs hahah thats funny it sounds like shit on here tho lmao .. na but we both kno your shits awsome haha :) u needa come pick me up lol my face is better haha

  • where the hell did icdbko32 get his info? if you dont know stfu!

  • i want to see the box next

  • I have type-r too and it's loud. I have small 45L box and it hits 127db @ 200rms... Well the amp is only 200wrms

  • There is no way you hit a true 127 with 200w RMS. My Type R is powered by an MTX 1501D that can do 1000w at 2 ohm RMS. I tried it on a small amp once and it was not loud at 300w RMS.

  • Well my friend has that ebay db meter, dunno how they call it. And with that it hit 127. I dont know how real that db meter is.

  • Maybe your amp is stronger than you think? I'm not trying to give you a hard time, I just can't imagine it. Cheers.

  • what do you thinks better rockford fosgate p3 or alpine type r ?

  • I dunno dude, honestly I don't.

  • What amp you using?

  • Alpine 600w but the sub maxes out at 700w.

  • check out my alpine amp

  • ok, I said the sub maxes out at 700w but it's really 1500w... my friend who gave it to me gave me bad info. I just recently found my sub in a store and read the specs.

  • well check out my p3 powered by an alpine m500 amp and you tell me

  • is one type r loud? cause im thinking of getin one, also what song is that?

  • One Type-R can be loud, but only with a good box. Mine was built by a friend, so it is bigger and better than any box you can buy in a store. If you get a tiny box it'll prolly not be as loud as you'd like.

The song is "Butterfingers" by Bomb The Bass, btw.

  • actually, isn't it smaller boxes have a higher SPL level and more decibels but only within a certain frequency? the larger boxes i beleive are suppose to have a flatter frequency resonse though i beleive which makes for better SQ

  • no.

  • Sound Fuckin Sick man.

    HD looks awsome!
