I grew up with this Man right here and ran into his mom a few on the back, I did not know his living situation was Lille this imma keep you in my prayers bro!!
@99Jurnee First of all you can puff up all ya want, all that shit talkin doesn't work on me, I've been through the trenches. The reason for my comment was that I was in school before all this shit with the economy went down and was majoring in marketing.. The marketing field was devastated.. No jobs. Trades are the way to go right now. It's good he's in school but he won't see a job in that field and he walk away with a ton of debt.
As a fellow Northern Californian, I wish you Jordan the very best in your studies and I'm pulling for you that you realize your potential, hopes and dreams. You are young and have your whole life ahead of you, keep making good decisions and keep moving forward. God bless you on your journey, it can (and will) be a struggle, but always remember to keep your head up. Best wishes!
It is sad to see but it is a reality here in America I pray GOD keeps this young brother safe on his journey. I also hope that the makers of this film could try to reach out to this young man with a job as well not just document his struggle.
@patsaxon Unfortunately, all students don't get enough money to afford dormitory. It would be nice if that were the case. I'm fortunate to still have my job and be able to support myself while in college. It is rough. Hoping things work out for Jordan and other students that are not as blessed as I am in this area.
If you are in college, why not stay in a dorm? That is great that you are in college, as that is the best investment! I hope that you will move into a dorm or even with live with a girlfriend, maybe a friend or relative. Hope the best for you!
In school and living in a tent city. Talk about determination! He'll be fine. This still breaks my heart. As a mother, I don't see how his friend's mother could put him on the street like that if he wasn't doing anything wrong.
watching this hurt me so much.. i'm 20 and to see someone close to my age in the situation he's in is eye opening. he has an amazing spirit throughout everything. i hope he keeps it that way no matter what, and finishes school. God will bless him. God will definitely bless him.
I don't get what "make something of yourself" means. You always have been and always will be a divine, eternal, sacred spiritual being on this extraordinary human experience. I personally don't need a job to survive. I like this guy though. Good human with different view and different life focus. Good for him if that's he was raised to believe and or wants to do with himself. I get it, so don't verbally attack me for being myself. LOL
@youdevil6 "make something of yourself" generally means realizing your purpose in life. It may result in wealth and significance, or not. For me it means giving and helping to as many people as I possibly can.
When I was 18 I was homeless for a week. I went to Houston Tx my friend said I could stay at his dads home. When I got there I was told that I had no place to stay. I slept with my back to the wall under a phone booth on the corner of W Mount Houston and FM 149 I did get a job the day I got to town that was a good deal. I hate that my friend turned out to be fake but I was thankful I was working. I really like this guy he reminds me of myself at that age but he is in school nice life in 5 years.
Sounds like he has a head on his shoulders. Hope he uses his intelligence for good, people like him can be successful for the good, or successful in the bad.
Tough guy, hope he makes it good.
