How To Fix MSN Error 8000ffff

Go to Control Panel(classic view), Windows Update, Review Update

History,click on installed updates(blue text at the top), Find (KB929777),

right click and uninstall it. Reboot the computer. After re-start go to

Control Panel, Check For Updates, (KB929777) should be there...if

not...download it from Microsoft Updates and save it to desktop. Download and

install (KB929777). use reginout cleaner to fix registry errors

i scanned my pc deleted some stuff in the msn folder reinstalled msn and it worked again =]

It's a nice video. Took some time to get it anyways. But doesn't work. I downloaded msn 8.0 Which worked, but doesn't any longer, because WML wants that everyone updates it. Hmm. Still dont know how to fix it.

Pour l'ancienne version 8.5,qui exige une mise à jour,j'ai trouvé la solution pour qu'elle redevienne

en marche:

1-clic droit sur l'icône MSN du bureau.

2-choisissez propriétés.

3-dans la nouvelle fenêtre qui parait,sélectionnez l'anglet "compatibilité" .

4-cochez la première case"exécuter ce programme en mode de compatibilité de".

5-choisissez Windows 2OOO,puis OK.

6-Redémarrez votre machine,et ça ira inchallah

no but i found a blog with the solution,try:

1. Close Msn completely (make sure is exit completely)

2. Go to Start --> control panel --> user accounts

3. Remove the password of your account

4. Open Msn and sign in (you should be able to sign in).

5. Go to Start --> control panel --> user accounts and set password again (Don't sign out msn, make sure msn is signed in when you set the password.

I have the same error 80070005, I tried your suggestion but it didn't work.. it's very frustrating. MSN don't reply on their "helpline" and on-line no-one seems to have the solution.

Yeah this vid didn't work with me and I found an other way and I think it's much eassier. First you have to uninstall WLM version 2009 completely and than you have to download WLM 2008 . You have an older version but it works so I hope I helped you guys out and see you later.

yh,if you have the error 8000ffff u cant login,u need to uninstall it but on some PC's u can't uninstall the program on add/remove programs
