Just got this program (thank God!) Before I was making guit sounds out of whatever I could run through GR5pro. Usually a Rhodes keyboard out the MK. But now, I'm going to load up the Vir2! Komplete is mysteriously lacking guits! I also have a 42 key controller, but I also have Maschine. If I want to control keyswitches, I'll do that on maschine and use my axiom just for the keys.
I've watched both reviews for this Electii6 and Cinematic Guitars. If I want hard power chords and leads, but I lack guitar technical know how, only piano/kontakt, which library is better to pick up and play instantly? Say for a really good demo, something for quick songwriting workflow, which is best for this? Someone on sweetwater mentioned CG being great for FX and ambiance, but not for straight instrumental guitar, they said that section is limited, but that's mainly what I need. Advice?
@empowermph check out cinesamples iron guitars, or prominy guitars, or impact soundworks shreddage if you just want some nice power chords. If you just want an all around guitar library electri6ity will be better than cinematic guitars
been waiting on you to do 1 on electri6ity for a mean minute man, and finally you do. Sheet i think electri6ity can but heads with EastWest MOR anytime so im debating wether to keep elec or refund it to buy eastwest, but either way throw elec with guitar rig 3 and you got a fucking beast on your hands.
Awesome review :D Love the sounds, especially the distorted ones!! With the proper midi programming, you can sound definitely create a realistic guitar track. Just one brief question, does Electricity have a dual tracking mode or do you have to create your own manual stereo by panning one gtr track left and using a different gtr for right? Thanks :D
hi joe i couldn't post until now seems like we are facing Joe _Hendrix xD , i liked the sounds a little bit ,i just got 2 questions ,is it possible to use it with score pads , and does it work like a vst plugin thats my questions?
@atk86me I'm not sure what you mean by score pads, but yes it is a vst plugin, it works in kontakt/kontakt player so it will load in anything that loads kontakt.
Thanks Joe. Electri6ity also sounds really good if you run the direct input versions of the samples through Amplitube from IK or Guirat rig from N.I. very real. It does take some time to get the knack of operating it, but it is very realistic with the key switches, round-robin and such once you work with ith a bit.
@jmahar88 agreed man, I have guitar rig and amplitube so will def be playing with it more, I spent most of my time understanding the engine that's why it took a while to post this one
Know what...I don't even use Kontakt but everytime I see your reviews and hear the flexibility of it, it lets me know Im a fool for not having it...nice review
@Kay79andPeachez79 I really think kontakt is a must have, there are so many companies that develop libraries for it, I don't use it as a sampler or build my own patches in it. I use it to play libraries from all the companies that make them. Kontakt is probably my most used plugin of all, really worth having. But honestly, like this library, it uses the free kontakt player, so even just having that you get access to tons of great libraries.
@SoundsAndGear Yeah..umma really have to make that move to Kontakt...it would probably alleviate some of the plugins I have...I really wanna better my workflow...Just got got my Rokit 6 monitors Monday so Kontakt would be a great add to the family...
@Kay79andPeachez79 yo like I said fam, depending on the libraries you want, you don't need to buy kontakt, just use the free player and buy libraries like this one that say "powered by kontakt", it's a good way to start building up your sounds, then when you start wanting to get kontakt libraries that don't work with the free version you can think about upgrading. Stuff like Rig, Evolve, the NI libraries, they all work in the free version.
@SoundsAndGear Thanks Joe...already took your advice...demo downloading as Im typing this...appreciate you steering people like me in the right direction..
@Kay79andPeachez79 no doubt fam, yeah kontakt player is a must for sure, great tool for free and you can add libraries too it as needed. Remember it must say "powered by kontakt" or "kontakt player" to work in the free version, otherwise it needs the full version, which you can use for 30 minutes in demo mode in the kontakt player
Best tut so far about this. Does the Kontakt player come with it?
ej1mshan 2 days ago
@ej1mshan yes it does but you can download the latest kontakt player for free from NI website
