Have same setup on my mini slash. The reason i did it was because i wanted to run 2 batteries in series, and the stock esc is NOT up for so much juice. So bumped up to a 1/10 scale esc which is the Sidewinder. BUT BECAREFUL! if you run just one battery, the esc sucks up all the power from the battery too fast which is called "overdraw" that will kill the battery. other than that, ITS SUPER SMOOTH! And you get alot more brake power. For $40 on ebay, GET IT!

castle SIDEWINDER it is adjusted by well factory options! We connect, and all works without problems. If it is necessary to adjust braking, acceleration is for this purpose given the instruction with ESC.

It's always good to demo a stock 1/16 w/Mamba power. It would be really helpful to show consumers how to upgrade a brushed unit to brushless. It was fairly easy, but I had to rely on a friend for the programming instruction on the ESC. Traxxas makes very good quality vehicles. Period.
