  • 2:13 Harry and David start shuving Ringo off stage! lol

  • look at ringos hair aint he cute looks like he got it specially permed he pretty

  • "One was born in Brooklyn, and the other comes to us from the British Isles, but when it comes to music, they both speak the same language." Yeah, English! Brain-dead speech writers.

  • John lennon & Paul Mc sitting front stage if you look closed =))

  • @rareu4532 Where??

  • @rareu4532 Sorry i mean behind on 1.50 look middle you lennon & Paul =)))

  • "in a lotta ways-it is soho!"

  • Irony: Ringo later covered "Drowning In the Sea Of Love" four years later.

  • GOLD

  • Harry looks like Jim Cameron.

  • couple of drunks I say that with respect and humor i bet yah they both got really drunk after this they harry loved to party and so did ringo and they loved to get drunk and stuff together they were close friends .my only regret about harrys life is he did the typical turn your back on the people that openened the first doors for them after meeting the beatles for the first time and staying at john lennons house he came back a changed man and then fired his first producer , just my opinion

  • They did the Monkees walk!

  • I Gotcha was a kickass song by Joe Tex.

  • David Clayton Thomas?!? Somehow he seems like a disconnect...

  • And Im Sure they Both were Drunk ahhha.Love them!

  • those two are a pair! lol

  • Did you hear those names announced??? Billy Paul, Ray Charles, Joe Tex, Curtis Mayfield? Remember when black music led the way for the whole pop world, instead of being a vulgar embarassment as it mostly is today?

  • @SlappyFrankenstein Well to be fair, Gangster culture had something important to say about the state of American ghettos. Considering that, I can't help but think of it as art no matter how vulgar and graphic it was. However since the mainstreaming of this culture it is now currently about hoes and bling; therefore it has been bastardized like most genres of music by selling itself out.

  • @SlappyFrankenstein The only reason I disagree w/ you is b/c today's 'black music' still captivates the majority of people. But that was a rather well done assessment.

  • I love how they walk out, especially with that stupid music playing, its fucking hilarious!

  • I like this...

  • I love how Ringo talks about himself n 3rd person

  • Maybe it pissed off the contestants then, but they probably look back with a smile now. That was really funny, and I loved the way they came on, too! Hilarious!

  • Harry and Ringo- classic!

    Curtis shoulda won.

  • that was cute!!

  • Brilliant, who'd have thought I would have got to see DCT and Harry Nilsson on the same stage! Two of my favourite performers and writers

  • that was a good skit and funny to!

  • I think Curtis Mayfield should've taken that. Ringo and Harry did awesome.

  • Well, I love Curtis Mayfield's music, during this superfly period, but on a song to song basis, Freddy's dead was not as good as Me and Mrs Jones. Put M&MJ up against Superfly the song, The Pusherman, or Diamonds in The Back, and I would have said no contest.

M&MJ has a really nice smokey feeling to it, and the horns and vocals really caption a vibe. But it is a slow love song. Put it up against a down and dirty ghetto street songs, and most people will go with the love song.

  • back when the gramys meant something!!!!!!

  • I disagree with you completely. I think that Ringo Starr and Harry Nilsson performed a very wonderful skit together on the Grammys. I love it !

  • I think that their comedy act added a nice touch to the Grammys myself. A few people in the Audience were laughing!

I know you see it differently than I do.

  • Awards shows are notorious for the lame jokes. There is a clip of John Lennon and Paul Simon and Andy Williams doing a lame bit at a Grammy's show. They don't even hide the fact that it is lame either.

  • oh yeah cause you're definitely in their heads and can assimilate exactly the arrogance level they are protruding.

you know what you are... ignorant.

i bet you get in a lot of fights eh?

  • Get a sense of humour for God's Sake! And if the nominees were offended they should too!

  • Me and Mrs Jones was all over the radio that year and next. I still hear people sing it today! Ringo and Harry were drinking buddies at time.LOL.

  • heheh,they form a gud team,thx,ringo rox!!

  • Wonderful! Wonderful! Thanks for posting this.

  • Sublime. Vodka and sublime.

So Billy Paul also works as a decorator, eh?

  • Magic Bongs out~~

  • Harry Nilsson and Ringo Starr always have made a great team! I wish I could have attended the Grammy Awards in 1973 but I was only 9 years old. Thank you so much for posting this video! Peace & Love, Tina

  • I love the clothes, soooooo chic'!

  • YES! I love the way Ringo Starr and Harry Nilsson are dressed. It looks like Harry is wearing a sequin bow-tie and Ringo Starr looks so handsome! Richard has always been a sharp dressed man!!! Thanks for posting this video. Peace & Love, Tina
