I've predicted about 20 earthquakes in the past 2 years in which I was 16 for 20. I was born Aug 23 which I see that date alot but how I do it is I hear frequencies. However since earthquakes have been accurately measured, the number of high magnitude earthquakes has significantly increased first by decade and then annually. The nearside earthquakes were huge and in populated areas. That they're all in the Pacific ring of fire is not surprising but also noteworthy.

Look at the annual trend of significant earthquakes starting in the mid 70s. b) OVERALL numbers. Interestingly the argument that seismographs are more spread out and accurate doesn't hold any water if you look at the historically significant quake trends - ones in populated areas, ones that did damage to structures, ones that had casualties.

I said that comparing two individual decades isn't good science because your sample size is far too small. On the same token I'm going to have to backtrack a bit to see if the 188 day cycle goes past the 4 most recent events.

Since 2008 there's been on average 16 7-7.9 quakes a year. That makes a 7 mag quake every 21 days.
If you look at the 6-6.9 mags, there was one every other day on average.
So you could probably make the cycle any number you like - 188, 193, 174, 201 - and have it fit more or less...

@d5uncr You're focusing on a) blocks of decades - taking 2 decade chunks then comparing those two "isn't good science". Look at the annual trend of significant earthquakes starting in the mid 70s. b) OVERALL numbers. Interestingly the argument that seismographs are more spread out and accurate doesn't hold any water if you look at the historically significant quake trends - ones in populated areas, ones that did damage to structures, ones that had casualties.

In the 70s the >7 average was 16 quakes/year (tinyurl DOT com/6o3pujd) with an average of 24 for the first three years!
So I guess it's safe to conclude that the quakes are _not_ increasing.
But please show me how _you_ want do do science with the numbers given...

@d5uncr Thanks for taking the time to look at the stats. The resource I was looking at was the historical quakes from USGS, which I still think is significant because it demonstrates that population centers that aren't typically hit by big quakes are getting them.
I said that comparing two individual decades isn't good science because your sample size is far too small. On the same token I'm going to have to backtrack a bit to see if the 188 day cycle goes past the 4 most recent events.

The main issues here is that there is no heavy mass object, earthquakes happen continuously every day throughout time, and evidence for seismic events being caused by orbiting objects within the solar system does not exist.
BTW, the last guy to count days to make predictions about things that don't exist, Harold Camping, also failed - twice.
