  • this is awesome! very cool and good job!! respect and keep on rocking!

  • the most important in all that is progressing playing how isn t important dont stop playing; nice job. search in the net for licklibrary mark knopfler download all his files and open them you ll find what you search for and see you have done it in the same way of what the teatcher do.and the same technique when you play with the guitar tone.greatjob i like it.

  • 5 month is time to you to learn it and perfect your fingerstyle

  • you have learn it on dvd licklibrary mark knopfler

  • @TheNavajojo nah I learnt it by listening to the album version and watching youtube videos of Mark Knopfler playing it at various concerts and just trying to copy what he did with both hands as best as I could. That was actually pretty much how I leant to play guitar, being *slightly* obsessed with Dire Straits back then! :)

  • that doesn't sound like only 5 month of play :)

  • well done young man, you get some stick, take it with a pinch of salt, YOU CAN PLAY, THEY CANT

  • Its good, i doubt 5 months, but if so, very good. keep it up, ill have to whoop yours ass one day when i get recording equip :P

  • excellent playing, wondering if 5 months is true, if so. talented. Good timing and switching you do in this song which is most important

  • This boy is a brother to a very good friend of mine and I can assure you that he is a complete genius in many areas, let alone music!!

I TELL YOU, HE HAD ONLY BEEN PLAYING FOR 5 MONTHS!!!

  • are you kidding us? XD I bet you've been playing for years xD

  • wow :D INCREDIBLE :D we could be a duet xD

  • I'm joking xD bbut you're INCREDIBLE :D

  • this can't be, that you play only for five month at this moment of time... seems like you started playing, since you are able to walk... Otherwise this wouldn't be possible... I play guitar since more or less 3 years and for me this isn't possible... And i'm far away to play this...

  • good job

  • Very nice!!! Ive seen you playing in the Oval Tavern too!! Quality!!

  • Very nice!! Great song!! Seen you playing in the Oval Tavern recently!!

  • Its a real good job ;) you've got the tune !!! keep play'n

  • he's not lying, it s an easy song and one of the first one i learnt, you can easily play it after 5 months of regular playing (2 to 3 hours per day)

  • nice cover.....can you tell us by where did you took the tabs?

  • @lionen90...stop criticising knobhead, and get your video on here...gd job Dylan

  • Well done.

  • 5 months is reasonable to learn this...its not like the parts are fast...quit whinning and practice.

  • This is a pukka effort mte, I have only been playing for around 15 months and it is no where near as polished as his version

  • well done dylan u sure hav got a talent dnt ever giv up chase ur dreams xx

  • 5 Months??? fuck off asshole!!

    why do you say that?

because of you, many beginners stop playing guitar

  • @24GREENDAY11 Thanks man, that means a lot to me <3

  • @DylanCobb

    no problem

  • @DylanCobb you are ugly and you look like a girl. so dont come around on youtube saying u have been playing for 5 months. trypical ginger behavior... its well played so why lie about how long u have played?

  • @lionen90 You are a little fucking puke with nothing nice to say. Shouldn't you be getting you mommy's permission to be on Youtube?

  • @lionen90 You are a little fucking puke with nothing nice to say. Shouldn't you be getting your mommy's permission to be on Youtube?

  • @24GREENDAY11

i agree 5 months my ass

this guy has been playing guitar for 3 years plus

    why lie !!

brothers in arm ~ MASTER PIECE

brotehrs in arm ~ MUSIC GENUIS

  • 5 months is quite possible IF YOU PUT IN THE PRACTICE! Well done dude and good luck in the future.

  • six months eh? then you are going to be one of the greats, good song choice!

  • theres no way you have been playing for five months i dont care what anyone says! it takes most people that long just to learn the basic caged cords and be able to interchange between them, but well played i enjoyed it

  • @rjfoster2 I had already been playing piano for six years when I started playing guitar. Believe me when I say having a first instrument helps learning a new one a GREAT deal. But yeah, in this vid I'd been playing 5 months :V

  • GREAT job dude!!!!! awesome playing...keep it up, you will make Mark proud!!

  • Nice cover dude!

Like how you did the volume swells!

Any chance you could hit me up with the tab you used?

  • 5 months? Come on man, what is that for?

  • 5 months? Bullshit!

  • very good boy ! 5 month you are a boss !

  • cool video , keep on playing , you're doing very well ! greetzzz

  • yeah would love a tab good for this!

  • I can only imagine what you will sound like on guitar in 5 years ! Keep playing, you are very good ! Cheers !!

  • great, great vibrato, tone, taste, and you play with no plettro...very good

  • hi there, is there any way you can send me this backing track? many thanks

  • Your are good. For 5 months you are exceptionally good.

  • 5 month? WTF now i feel shitty xPP

  • ügyes vagy

  • hi brilliant cover exspecially for 5months playing is ur guitar a squire stratocaster

  • Yer, shitty squire atm D: but i'm saving for a fender american as the next step up. Might custom build one tho ;) always good fun

  • what amp settings do u have ur amp on for the guitar to make the sound 4 the song

  • low tone, high gain, trying to simulate a humbucker sound as best as i can. low treble, medium bass and medium tenor range gives the guitar a darker sound, which i thought worked kinda well :/ all i can say really

  • A word of advice:

    Never play video games.

    Never play computer games.

Always play the guitar, because that was amazing...

  • ginger change color on ur head and maby be a little in the sun but awesome : D

  • i'm fine with dwelling in the basement ty ;)

  • Well done mate very impressive, stick at it your

going to be a great guitarist . makes me feel a little jealous.

    all the best . Gazster3

  • You had been playing for only 5 months

when you laid this down? Son. Don't ever stop. I wish I could hear you when you become my age.

  • wow...great cover

    i love this song

    keep up posting videos

  • Cool!! You play guitar very well

  • knopfler himself would tell you a cheap volume foot pedal would allow you to use your energy to focus on what your playing instead of wasting it on that knob. by the way not bad

  • i know, tell me about it :S i'm saving for a volume pedal anyway so that shouldn't be a problem soon :D i'm thinking of getting a morley since knopfler used one himself and i guess that's a sign it can't be bad

  • in fact scratch that i now HAVE a volume pedal :)

  • Nice. Play.

You like Fleetwood Mac, when they were a blues band or the pop fase?

If you like old rock, check vanderbilly . com free site of lessons for old rock. The users do the lessons. Its cool. Iam a happy user.

    Peace

  • I like fleetwood mac in both phases, and i'd say rumours is my favourite of their albums, but overall i prefer them from the blues phase. I love songs like "need your love so bad" and "albatross" :D

  • Me to. You should check "Supernatural", an instrumental by Peter Green. Not easy to find.

Gary Moore made a cover of it in "Blues for Greeny" using PGreen guitar (the guitar PG sold to Gary Moore when he quit playing).

That is the expensive guitar in the world. Is value is 2.000.000 dolars. hiacksssss!!!!!

    Great Music.

    Peace CP

  • Good playin, but whut's with the shirt.

  • ok one last pointer, when the distortion solo starts the lead part is played between the 12th and 9th frets give it ago and work it out.

  • should be running std 9's on your guitar.

  • yeh i am again now, i just tried heavier gague to see the diff it made for a few weeks

  • um, keep practising! sounds like your guitar is a bit flat either that or you are bending the strings down slightly at times?

  • yeh i could hear that while i was recording it. Tht thing was i was using strings that were too heavy gague for the number of springs on my synch tremolo arm, so it was pulling the bridge up and if i tuned one string in tune it pulled the others out, so the guitar was slightly out of tune at that time :S

  • 5 estrellas nene, lo has hecho muy bien!!!

  • 5 months ?? hum....

  • Very good!

    :)

  • WELL DONE

  • nic e one

  • Awesome dude! I really enjoyed! Your volume control is bang on the button and your strat sounds sublime - *Well Done* 5 stars from me!.:)

  • tysm :D
