Vern Gosden IS true country music and always will be...he had a simple heartfelt and to the point delivery that made his music so distinguishable from anybody else...he is a country legend and deserves the spot he obtained as a country music pioneer..."agreed" @ syphon19731...Im only 33 but I listened to this music and others like him all my life...I listen to rock, country even rap and alot more, Im a very musically diverse person and this is STILL always welcome in my playlists...

class act this guy..we saw him Richmond virginia at the mosque..sat right of front of the man and guitar on a bar stool..felt like he sang every song to us like we were the only ones there..we seen a lot of performer before and a lot since nothings ever came close to the raw emotion and sincerity in his performance..also i think he preferred being a little under the radar of popularity..i think maybe he enjoyed being able to play smaller venues..

i loved Vern Gosdin and didnt even know he had died til months afterwards, never saw anything in paper on on tv about his death....but he never got the attention he so deserved in the music world, he had one of the greatest voices in country music and he was overlooked...i did get to see him once in concert...i loved you Vern and will never forget you.

Most of us will die and leave nothing behind except a few dollars and some memories. A picture or two and maybe a citation for picking up trash on the road or not missing church. What ever.. Now,because you addressed me by by 'internet name'...caught my attention... I am going to be totally honest with you and say that I had never heard of Vern until a year or so ago. I am an 'Aussie' (Downunder). I am a Musician,playing clubs etc................and not what you would class as a 'Country Fan'.However, I am fast changing my taste.
