Hello, fellow abalone divers. We have a common enemy. The sunflower starfish. Every time, I dive in anywhere in california, I see many sunflower starfish, yes, light purple color the ones with 20 arms. They are eating abalone at an scary rate. I usually cut them up into tiny pieces. Please help, by cutting up these prediators of the abalone. Let's protect the abalone populations , so that there will be more abs for us in the future.

@mattmattison Yea I was stoked for getting a 9.5 my goal is a 10. Im might head up there labor day weekend, maybe we could meet up and show me where those 10's are!
MAYBE ! try the area between vista point and pedotti ranch the big cliffs ! just pass myers grade rd hard asss hike donw and up not a whole lot of ab but they are big ! vis ranges from 1 to 10ft
good old caldron just north of still water I think I even saw you all there. way to get R done guy's. you all had great vis that day ! day to is where you will find the giants
@mattmattison Thanks matt, were you the guy on the cliff that threw me down the zipties. Also how did the ab event go on saturday i really wanted to participate but none of the other guys wanted to. The biggest ab I got was a 9.5 couldent find those tens.

I got buzzed by a white shark there in 50 feet of water on 8/20 at about 2 PM is that the day you guys were there?

not me, I drove by as you all were along side the road. The event went great ! that is a good sized ab for that area.
