I know another death for this part. If you hide once where the painting is the dogs

will pass by you, then take the painting down and take the nail, then when they

tell you that the dogs are coming hide again and instead of saying "sorry I was

just looking at it," he just says "sorry," then the dogs takes Alex away.

I wonder why the change in saladin calling you a 'foreigner' at one point and then calling you by name at another point.

@Rainbowdragon2 There's an optional sequence near the beginning of the game where you have a chance to meet him. This is what determines whether he knows you by name.

They love their princess dearly and thanks to the evil vizier they think that he's an assassin trying to kill her. The vizier wants to marry the princess to become king after wards he's going to kill her like he killed her parents.

The voice acting in this game is pretty good. In other Sierra games the voice acting can come across as a bit amateurish, but this one is pretty polished. Alexander comes off well, as opposed to Graham, who was kind of a dweeb.

Alexander was voiced by Robby Benson, who is most known for playing the voice of Beast in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. The narrator is Bill Ratner, most famous as the voice of Flint in the animated series G. I. Joe. Both currently maintain active websites.

King Graham was played by Josh Mandel, who is not a professional voice actor but was a Sierra game developer, most involved in the Space Quest series I believe.

That might explain some of the difference. :)

Hey, thanks for the response. You know, as soon as you said 'Robbie Benson,' I remembered that I used to know that, that he did the main voice in this game. It's funny. A lot of people would think that it really wouldn't matter whether you have a so-called "professional" do a voice instead of any old person--but you really can hear the difference.

Most certainly. Ratner's voice is as good as they come, and certainly takes the game to a whole new level.

Before other KQ fans get after me for not mentioning this, Don Messick, best known as the voice of Scooby Doo, played several voices in this game as well. Tony Jay was the voice of Saladin, Arch Druid, and Death's Gate, but I don't remember other roles he played elsewhere.

What happens when you run away from a dog? He'll chase you down and maul you if not kill you.

What happens when you run away from a Guard Dog? He'll chase you down and spear you.

They're different guard dogs.

I know that, but even though they're different dogs, sometimes they'll switch names in the middle of the dialogue.
