  • This is certainly a cool gadget to have. The thing is it won't be an Iphone beater to me because I prefer the Iphone interface way better then this. For the what its worth, I'd rather get the Archos Media Tablet

  • lol not making phone calls is ridiculous for god's sake

  • maybe in the near future there will be a phone antenna that plugs in the micro usb port or the mini sd card slot, that would be nifty.

  • Hi I got nokia n810 as a christmas gift and i dnt even knw how to use this, its a brand new so if anyone wants to buy call me on 07725951301 and i looked in the internet the price is £293 but i will give it for £150.

  • hey man .. were are u from ? i am interested to buy .. can u giv me more detail....abt your contact address ...

  • do u stil have it?

  • youtube(dot)com/watch?v=-0u5YKi_EFY

  • see th iphone in action in this video:

    youtube com/watch?v=-0u5YKi_EFY

  • what the hell? no phone functions! this is 2007! why would anyone pay so much for 2 devices when they can have one? i always thought the iphone's days were numbered but with devices like this its always going to be ahead!

  • It's an Internet tablet, not a phone.

Some people (like me) likes to have a separated small phone.

  • so you cant make calls =/

and i was gunna get one so that i could have someting better than the iphone =[

  • It's still better than the iPhone

  • The lady is a good product rep. She has done her homework.

And the Nokia N810 is the hottest thing on the planet. Fully open-source means a ton of ~free~ software. I'm also running emulators on my 770 - Frodo C64, PALM OS, DosBox, UAE amiga emulator etc.

Use a cheapo bluetooth phone, the N810 connects to internet with it. Its better than putting a radio in it, which only limits your choices for provider.

  • It should shipping by the end of November.

Besides WiFi it also has Bluetooth so you can pair it with your mobile phone and use your cellular data network.

  • I think it's on sale now.

The HTC equivalents (Shift and Advantage) can connect to the internet over the air without wifi. Had Nokia implemented a mobile phone antenna, that would have been possible for the N810 as well. Also you would be able to make calls.

  • "What's the catch? Nokia's Linux enabled N810 can only be used to make calls over WiFi with Skype. It does not have a mobile phone antenna.

    "

who cares? it's a bit big for a cell phone isn't it? It's intended at a secondary device, an internet device, hence the name: Nokia Internet Tablet

  • When is this going on sale?
