I don't know man. I think Dean sells their products at outrageous prices with their quality being low, but only for some products. Like the some of the more high end Razorbacks are around $1,000. Michael Amott's now old signature model was around $1,000 but the fretboard was ebony and the Floyd Rose was original, not liscenced. The Dave Mustaine signature model was poorly made too. When I tried it out the fretboard appeared to be roosewood, not ebony.
they've got some dodge guitars i will say but three i have are awesome! i got the deam from hell, the dime o slime and the rusty cooli signature. their pretty flash! I trust michael will put some effort into it. but i see your point
I like the classic shapes for the Deans. A friend of mine has the 30th anniversary ML and it looks as nice as it plays. Those are priced reasonably also unlike some other models. I'm more of a ESP/Jackson guy, more ESP.

Well you can have bad views on music such as most of the pop and r and b stars you see on mtv who have other people write their songs for them, use auto tune on their vocals in the studio, dub it live then mass produce it. That I think to any sane person is a horrific view of music. Thus if its possible to have a bad view on it then its also possible to have a good view.

Composing nintendo-alike devastated solos only thinking about muddling the highest amount of notes in the shortest amount of time? Michael Amott has so much feeling and emotion, and thats what counts and will ever count in music. Dont get me wrong, i like DF, but theyre overrated as musicians.

Micheals solos aren't really fast 80s type solos. most are rather slow and one more thing, Dragonforce's album is going to kick ass and inhuman rampage kicked ass... arch enemy's album kicked ass but this new one SUCKS! in the video it had like 5 teenagers posting posters of arch enemy's concert!

As already mentioned, I play guitar. I know modes, scales, and the whole nine yards. Amott has as much diversity as Alexi, and more than all those others you said.
Ive actually got the guitar. All the High pitched solos are done by Chris Amott. The really fast shredding and stuff like that on the 18 fret and up. Mike`s solo`s are slower and usually lower than the 18 fret.

Well you can have bad views on music such as most of the pop and r and b stars you see on mtv who have other people write their songs for them, use auto tune on their vocals in the studio, dub it live then mass produce it. That I think to any sane person is a horrific view of music. Thus if its possible to have a bad view on it then its also possible to have a good view.

dragonforce sucks donkey dick man. they take there songs at the same tempo, it's all solos (which they cant even back up), and the riffs are boring as fuck. I'm not saying that i can play better than herman li or sam totman. dragonforce is a joke!

hmmm...look up betcha cant play this with herman li and sam twatman they "attempt" to play hard music but they ultimatley fail...which shows just how good they are..fact is solos arent about playing fast its about playing with melody and with feeling...something michael can do and in fact few guitarist can play with the same emotion he does

Arch Enemys new album was awesome, Dragonforce sucks anyway. And Dragonforce live - BLARGH! They suck live so bad, when Arch Enemy is perfect live. And that solo speeding up is gay, then Herman Li can't even play it live, plus their song/albums DO all sound the same

Composing nintendo-alike devastated solos only thinking about muddling the highest amount of notes in the shortest amount of time? Michael Amott has so much feeling and emotion, and thats what counts and will ever count in music. Dont get me wrong, i like DF, but theyre overrated as musicians.

overrated in the term of playing fast. theyre just fast, thats it and someone putting li and totman over vanhalen should get a major asskick, even dragonforce themselves wouldn't agree to you.
I dont think their songs all sound alike, theyre just all in DF's unique style.
And by the way, the speed youre talking about is what you hear on record. seen em live this winter, theyre good live band with good livepresenc , but they dont get the solos puttet together in studio down live - unlike amott.

yeah, the limitation of letters sometimes forces me to create strange sentences ;)
what i wanted to say is: ive seen both bands live, arch enemy and dragonforce. dragonforce are funny dudes and theyre doing a cool and entertaining show. but in concert they dont get the solos down which were composed of digital fragments in studio. unlike michael amott, hes able to play his stuff very precisely live with much dynamics and feel. something dragonforce isnt proficient in.

Micheals solos aren't really fast 80s type solos. most are rather slow and one more thing, Dragonforce's album is going to kick ass and inhuman rampage kicked ass... arch enemy's album kicked ass but this new one SUCKS! in the video it had like 5 teenagers posting posters of arch enemy's concert!

Mate, i think youve got me a bit wrong. i dont say dragonforce isnt a good band and i dont say that inhuman rampage did not kick ass and i didnt say their 2008 record will presumably kick major anus, but still: dragonforce are not the guitarists you hear on the album thats a fact. michael amott is exactly that one you hear on the album.

furthermore i think we simply like different styles of guitarswork. you seem to simply like the dragonforce-highspeed muddling (never said i don't like it), but for me amotts soloing is simply ternary the beautiness herman li's is. cause in hermans soloing i hear just deadheartness and NO emotion. but lets just fuck that, hope to see you on the next arch enemy / dragonforce tour.

yeah thats true, dragonforce even admitted in either total guitar or guitarworld that they speed up their tracks using studio software and they record their parts in fragments.

Lol. And I can play guitar better than Michael Amott too. But can I write better than him? Absolutely not. Look at every band he's been in...from Carcass to Spiritual Beggars to Arch Enemy.
What has Sam and Herman done? Three, four albums at most? And they all sound extremely similar? Amott has a legacy.
As already mentioned, I play guitar. I know modes, scales, and the whole nine yards. Amott has as much diversity as Alexi, and more than all those others you said.

Ive actually got the guitar. All the High pitched solos are done by Chris Amott. The really fast shredding and stuff like that on the 18 fret and up. Mike`s solo`s are slower and usually lower than the 18 fret.
