Faultless as always Austin, you have to be there to fully appreciate how difficult it is to film in such inclement weather....excellent production from the Master...5* Bob
Nice one and I didn't notice anything wrong at all! Just glad I wasn't there shivering with cold, but can thankfully watch your beautiful videos, instead!
Haha, I've tried since I've got back and it does seem to work as normal, but i've just bought a new car today so hopefully i'm going to try pop along to the worth valley at the weekend and give it a little try. If this dam snow clears... Erghh haha.
Fantastic scenes of the Black 5s at their best, and of the scenery too. Well filmed and well worth standing around in the cold for. Thanks for posting.
Thanks very much Brian, I did feel like turning round and heading home at one point!! But glad I stayed really...Happy New Year to you and yours...Austin
What a glorious sight and sound Austin. Superbly captured as ever with the wind not sounding half as bad as I expected after reading your notes. Happy New Year to you Iand I look forward to more top quality videos next year - Chris
Cracking shots on a rather cold and blustery day Austin. I was stood to your left at Greenholme without realising it was you -- too busy trying to keep warm! All the best for 2010. Mike
Very atmospheric excellent

Thanks Bob, not really faultless though, the last shot should really have been left on the cutting room floor. It was a dreadful day.

Thanks, I don't think it's one of my best efforts but another record of the day to go with other folks vids.
acw71000 2 years ago
I'm sure you have done better before, but not in that weather! Very well indeed to have made it, and recorded it - the record speaks for itself.

Great stuff Austin in what can only be described as awful conditions as we both know haha...
Loved the shot at Greenholme, kind of wished i'd attempted either there or Scout Green instead of Shap Wells, never mind... Next time :|

Thanks a lot, It was well worth standing in the cold, video doesn't really bring out the full sound the two locos made at the time.
