  • Охренительно!!!Мне нравится!!!

  • I had to double check if she was actually a women since the majority of Japanese bands have bishonen xD

  • Comment removed

  • @Dave102693 bishonen means guy that looks like a girl

  • @baijanmew Nvm

  • @baijanmew Looks like she's boobs...

  • @baijanmew what about Twisted Sister, or some of those androgynous american metal bands, though?? They're all over the world...

  • @jcdntn55 true but they're mostly in japan

  • @baijanmew Yeah, I agree that there are more in Japan NOW, but not as much as in America during 80s hair metal. If you want to see the purest example of a bishonen band look up either Spiv States (from Japan), or Army of Lovers (from somewhere.... out there) LOL

  • @baijanmew One more victim of Visual Key, aren't you? (So I am, frankly speaking))))

  • Romanians appreciate this ^_^ great song/ great band !!!

  • @ascendead1 lol...if not for blues, there would be no metal. and you do realize that blues and jazz musicians are just as, if not more, skilled and innovative and experimental than their metal counterparts :P.

  • @ec688 Not entirely true. There are many metal musicians that utilize every form of music including jazz and blues. Don't let the crappy over lying junk lead you to believe that metalist are untrained, uncouth, and unwilling to broaden their musical influence. the 3 genres have musicians that are easily in the same league.

  • @MetalforOden Who said that metalist are untrained uncouth and unwilling to broaden their musical influence? I said nothing of the sort. Please read my post. I'm merely pointing out where much of metal comes from and where they get their technical innovations from.

  • @ec688 It just seemed that you implied as such. My mistake. At least we both know the truths.

  • First time hearing these guys. I first saw the name and said to my self "Thats a Japanese band, i must check them out" and i have and still am lol there great :)

  • Es realmente sorprendente me hacen estremecer su musica su estilo y belleza. They are really terrific y have never seen anyting like this before.

  • @ascendead1 if not the guitar we wouldn't be able to die because of boredom with blues and jazz, we would be stuck with electro

  • @FrostmoorX nah, if no guitar, just replace with crazy electric violin and keyboard shredding

  • I can take the Japanese seriously now.

    Good stuff.

  • Sounds like they love their Iron Maiden, the starts' vocals were a bit Asian karaoke bar with all that reverb though.

  • Нечего азиатам в метале и роке делать ИМХО Х)

  • Beautiful girl ,lol

  • They sound like a Japanese Iron Maiden

  • Japonesinha boa arretada!

  • All metal band members should have Japanese hair like this. OOOMG. *o*

  • Wow this sounds great.

  • i wanna see an all sumo metal band

  • @brucekirk89 They would have the biggest most crushing sound ever

  • @devildriverrule111 *Ba dum tish*

  • @brucekirk89 i wanna see a honky fatass group of american rockers

  • @isuraeru7 honky fatass WTF are u talking about LOL

  • Texas hippie coalation

  • maybe someone knows that......the genre vk arose from bands like this one

tradtional and rock music were mixed .....now there a so many other bands, who belong to that genre , but they dont make music like this

  • I am in the constant quest, for great female fronted Japanese metal bands.

ONMYO-ZA has been added to my list of great japanese music.

    Thanks for the upload:)

  • Brings back memories!

  • I want Kuroneko's furisode :)

  • Can I buy this in Germany?

  • some parts sounds like Ministry, and also makes me remember the old school animes D:

  • worst crap i ever heard.....

  • @deimos76

Please take those comments elsewhere. Yes, constructive criticism is nice, but what you said isn't. Best keep those thoughts to yourself if you can't phrase them in a way that won't cause offence or the like.

On the other hand, it's now nice to know what you consider to be crap.

  • @RefiLewise self-righteous fool

  • @HongsiquanWingDing

The hell is that supposed to mean...?

  • japanese metall bands much better than chinese see chinese metall bands they sin like blablablabla

  • I love Japan and japanese bands since my childhood, Onmyouza is one of the best bands for me.

  • Wow! This has great creativity and I love the lyrics!

  • exelente rola gran grupo de mis favoritos

  • Very talented band & I love their song topics. ^_^)

...Hmm, I wonder whether that guy in the golden kimono at 1:13 (Matatabi, I think his name is?) can act, because he'd be perfect as D in the upcoming live-action Vampire Hunter D movie! As far as I know this pv isn't that old, therefore he could possibly star in the movie...

  • @AutumnMystry D doesn't look even remotely Asian, though. He has brown hair, he towers over everyone else in the film, and his accent is American.

  • @antagonist42 Well, in the films he doesn't look so much Asian, but on the covers of the novels he does (yes he's still tall, but there actually are some tall Asians... besides, that can be altered in movies.) D's nationality is unspecified, although author Hideyuki Kikuchi did mention that he thought of the Frontier as somewhere such as Europe... then there's the notion of D's parentage (don't wanna give away spoilers but I figure you know what I mean by that.) *no more space; will cont.*

  • @AutumnMystry However, to me Matatabi-san more closely resembles D than anyone else I've seen. : ) Seriously, check out some of the cover art from the original novels.

  • @AutumnMystry I've seen it. But the white-and gold hair, the over-the-top armor and what have you, would be even more difficult to match.

(This is assuming you mean the original novels, not the newer young-adult ones.)

  • @antagonist42 By newer novels you mean the manga (comics), right? Because I own all the U.S.-released non-manga novels (as far as I know they're the same as the Japanese ones except for the translation.) The cover art on said novels is the same as you mentioned... as for the white/gold hair, I think Yoshitaka Amano painted it that way for contrast. I noticed how in some of his paintings D has black or dark brown hair, but in others (darn, ran outta space again... see next comment...)

  • @AutumnMystry (cont'd...) which have a darker-colored background, D's hair seems white or golden. See, if Amano-san had painted D's hair dark in those pictures it would have blended into the background; it's merely artistic contrast. As for the costume, Amano didn't exactly mimic D's apparel from the stories. Example: in the books D wore a long black coat, not a cape, however Amano painted him in a cape. & *sigh running out of room yet again!* ...

  • @AutumnMystry ...the way I see it, if the armor is that difficult to match it'll be so regardless who the actor is.

  • @AutumnMystry Which is why it's even more important to cast an actor who actually resembles the character (in my opinion, Matatabi would be like D come to life. ^^)

  • @AutumnMystry Anyway, whoever ed D would have (literally) very big boots to fill. @AutumnMystry Whoever played D would have (literally) very big boots to fill. He's gargantuan compared to just about every other character, in dialogue as well as stature.

A long coat would have been a fallacy anyway, considering the novel takes place so far into the future that society has essentially reverted back into the mindset of the Middle Ages. I think the change was appropriate.

  • @antagonist42 True; D is one of the most challenging characters ever for any actor to portray, yet I still think Matatabi could (given that he can act or learn to, of course; which he probably can since filming pvs does require at least a tiny amount of acting skill.) *see pt. 2*

  • @AutumnMystry (Pt.2) I'd have to disagree in the matter of the coat. The wardrobe change was Amano's doing & while I respect him as a very talented artist, the reason Kikuchi wasn't so much in favor of the cape was because it is so cliche in regards to a vampire; so obvious. That's why the author chose a coat; for something more original. I don't see why it would clash with the story's timeset, because I noticed elements of both past & future incorporated into the tales.

  • @AutumnMystry Sorry about the derp in that comment. Copypasta went awry.

D's "cape" is more of a mantle, in that it's attached to shoulder armor. I get what you're saying about the vampire-cape cliché, though. Anything long, like a cloak or the aforementioned duster coat, would be fine, considering it's the future, and vampires need to hide from the sun.

  • @antagonist42 "Derp"? I'm still a little technologically-challenged when it comes to online lingo. XD I figure you're referring to the doubled sentence in your previous comment? I understand, don't worry about it. ^^

Yeah I noticed the cape is more of a mantle, but there isn't much difference between the two. That comment about the cliche cape was what Kikuchi himself stated in the postscript of one of his D novels. ;-_-) *see pt. 2*

  • @AutumnMystry Man, they don't like talkative individuals on YT! XD Anyway, the final thing I wanted to say is that the combining of past & future aspects in the stories drew me to them even more. Very creative to invent a world where cyborgs & horse-drawn carriages coexist! ^^

  • @AutumnMystry The world could easily be called Steampunk if not for all the Gothic imagery. The first movie was a lot better with that atmosphere when it wasn't throwing Lovecraftian mutants at us.

On the topic of the 121st Century, it's not like having to feed and clean horses is very romantic. :P

  • @antagonist42 Well I was referring to the novels more than the movies (they weren't completely true to the novels, as anyone can tell I prefer the novels lol, but don't get me wrong; the movies were alright... the 1st was truer to the novel's storyline yet the 2nd's animation better matched the original D's character design. I take it perhaps you haven't read them?) Haha, well a world of cyborgs & horse-drawn carriages is visually appealing at least. ^^ Nothing wrong with horses... *see pt. 2*

  • @AutumnMystry *pt. 2* ...I love animals of all species. ^^ As for "steampunk", I'm unsure as to what that means since I don't pay much attention to labels...

  • sounds like iron maiden hehe;)

  • Yep leave it to the Fins and Japanese to keep metal alive. Some very sick bands on both ends of the spectrum no doubt.

  • Fuck yeah! Love them!!!!!

  • great song great band!! in some passages it reminds to me even prog rock!!!!!

  • @Zeleii try shadow, one of the best melodic death metal bands i heard, and its from japan xD

  • I still think if Japanese and Finnish metal musicians combined their technical precision and creativity, you'd end up with the best band ever.

  • @Ironcabbit yeah you said it

  • @Ironcabbit That's music for the gods, not us puny mortals.

  • @TakuFishDish We are gods (at least from a pet's perspective).

  • @Ironcabbit OMG that;ll be epic!! :D

  • @juliojrc

I wouldn't go that far to be honest. Finnish Metal Bands are very fucking awesome.

I also think Japanese Metal Bands are possibly the best bands in the world alongside with Finnish bands.

Their Technique / Passion and awesomeness is just AWESOME!

  • i very strongly dissagree -.-

  • @juliojrc oh please. While j-metal is great, no metal is better than European

  • @lolprsat :

    Hell yeah!

    Scandinavian and slavic metal rules!

  • @lolprsat lol mate they're just as good as iron maiden and judas priest who're 2 of their biggest influences each continent has atleast one great metal band except africa of course :P

  • @juliojrc Idk dude, Scandinavia has some pretty good bands

  • @juliojrc Hey, this band is pretty decent, but you can't be serious. Soilwork destroys these guys on almost every front.

  • @juliojrc

If not the europeans, there would be no heavy metal in japan.

  • geil
