  • This happened to me the other day- scariest bolt ever :( xx

  • narww love the sigh at the end! hope they were both ok! :)

  • i know a pony that does this! very fun yet awkward and scary situation to be in :)

  • byeeeeeeeeeeeee............

  • i love how you sigh at the end :') ive never had a horse bolt, but i have had a horse think it was time to go home in the middle of canter through a field and try n go through a bush...

  • that was so fixed ! shes such a shit rider

  • 'nice calm walk' WHOOOOOSH!

  • Hahaha I like your commentary :p

  • Do you kow why she was boing it? x

  • @jleigh5200

I tried that but fell off lol it didn't work with my old pony there was noo!! Stopping him at all x

  • Well at least she stayed on I always manage to fall of somehow! Looks like she just needed to stretch her legs.xx

  • My horse bolted with me on her back today too! I was totally not expecting it and it was really scary! She couldn't go far though because we were in a barn, but all the same, its not fun. But circling her really helped to keep her from doing it again!

  • film steddily LOL use a running martingale so she is safe

  • I actually love your commentary! Lol Hahahah.

  • something that may help too is using a standing or running martingale it will help so they wont be able to throw their head up

  • Its how she says Holly at the end that makes my day ! xx

  • i know a holly who bolts too ;) but i wasnt lucky enough to stay on and screwed my elbow up xD

  • I hate it when that happens but she did really well to stay back on. the same happened to alot of us the other day wen we went on a 2 hour hack they were so fresh and it was so windy being the beginning of winter and all. It felt soo good to let them go at the end and have a good gallop sometimes its just what they need

  • Omg i remember when that happened to me!! We were trying our first jump with my horse but noooo he had other ideas!!

  • Well riden! That happen to me yesterday, scariest ride ever. Found that circling him in tighter and tighter along with not pulling on my inside rein for a brief moment then pulling back HARD worked really well. You can never outpull a horse so that technique + circling will help get their attention back on you faster. But hopefully it won't happen again to either of us!!

  • 'just dont run me over next time!' 'yeh well this time ill try and steer aswell!'

  • she looks like shes in controll when the horse bolts!,

  • your commentary is literally exactly what i think when something like that happens, first shock, then you make a rather weak sounding joke "you're going to jump the fence at this rate" (while thinking actually it could happen) and then when the friend is confirmed as alive, you laugh, happened the other day to me!

  • You shouldn't have pulled on the reins soo much :/It confuses her and makes her bolt even more :) But still very good riding!

  • loving the commentry :D x

  • haha , ''oh bloody hell , holly!'' x

  • "OH, Bloody hell" XD

  • That happened to me today! I lost my stirrups and the horse I was on was goin to run into really big rocks! Thank god he didn't jump them!! I hope ur alright after that , it is very scary and annoying

  • pulley rein!!! check out julie goodnights method of the pulley rein it will stop a horse fast when bolting!

  • 1.05 looks really outta control! but fantastaic stay on i wouldve fallen off ! great riding!!

  • my horse does that too, she runs to werever her friends are. and what i did was let her pick two spots she liked to blot to, then take her between them over and over again until she figured out i wasnt gunna let her stop at either point lol! it took me weeks!

  • hhahaha

  • LOL!!! i feel for you i really do... know that feeling all too well!! good job for trying again though :)

  • your friend was brave, last year a horse i was trying out to buy bolted off with me, and i had to bail as he was getting dangerous i.e running into hedges and stumbling everywhere, and i cut my face up so bad D:

  • pause at 1:27 haha beth is like "ahhhh wwhoah!"

  • Hhar , Pause it at 1.05 and look at Beths facials :P theyre crack up as in a good way hehe ,

( hope tht doesnt sound mean )

  • beeen in this situation many times. on a road once...great fun :L

she rode really well, and well sat! xxx

  • Gah...Don't ya just hate it when that happens :L

I was riding with some friends last week and the lazzzyyyyy TB i was on went loopy and took off...Every horse has their moments :L

    Good riding Beth!! :)

  • Good riding,

but yeah lean back, and if you just use one rein and pull her in a tight cirlce she will be forced to stop :) hope that helps :)

  • haha made me lol wen u was like crap shes gonna jump the fencing then it was like oh hai grass :L

  • Woah, ... Crap.

    I lol'd a little.

    Ahahaaa, naughty Ponio!

  • good riding :) maby try turning in circles realy tight,. literately grab the top of the reins and bend there neck, it works with mine, i know its harsh but I have only had to do it 3 times and hes gave up hop of bolting :)

  • @HorsesRmyDRUGS

yeh you can do that but if you make them turn and they bounce then you're more likely to fall off, obviously if you're out in a large open space then you don't have much choice lol! but if you're in a feild then they'll stop eventually, theres just less chance of them bouncing and you falling off but i see your point and i know beth and holly and shes a speedy little pony lol x

  • @ilovemyponyposyxx lol :) bounce ? jacks never done that:/

  • @NutellaPonies thank youu hun ! (: xx

  • Good riding, any horse can bolt when they feel like it, even the laziest. I know your not thinking straight when it happens, but next time, she should try to do large circle and gradually get smaller if it happens again, and not pull back too tight on the reins, but well done for staying on. I had a welsh cob on loan last year that bolted quite a lot to begin with x

  • @kitston yea, she used to bolt ALOT this is the first time in.. well ages. and okay ill tell my friend :D but holly wanted to go up to the top of the firld because thats where the stables and her friends were so i think she just thought hmm ill just gallop up here and it will be the end of the ride, score! but ohh she was very wrong ;) hehe, thanks for the nice comment xx

  • @kitston

i know, when i rode my loan pony (who bolted pretty frequently) when i came into a field i always told mysef "turn her if she bolts", but when they actually bolt your in as blind panic and just sit there helplessly! well it was like that for me anyway :0

    good riding!

  • I hate when that happens.. :O

It happened to me before when I was bareback and bridleless.. Its soo terrifing.. :'(

You just have to grip on a try to calm them down :/

    Were you okay? :) xx

  • @emmag4321 my friends was fine yes just a bit shaken up hehe, and bareback would be bad enough.. but bridleless? ohh dear :P xx

  • @emmag4321

my loan pony (sorry ive been going on about her havent i? :/ soz i just miss her :( D ) anyways. um her real owner's daughter was riding her bareback with justa headcollar and leadrope and she took off for no apparent reason and the owner got dragged along the ground!!!!! :0 :0 :0 but she was fine justa little wet from the dewy grass :)

the girl did very well (she was four; the pony was 14.1) she stayed on for abouit 15 seconds :0 !! but fell off she was fine :D just VERY wet!

  • "crapp.." made me laugh :L

    well sat Beth! ;D x

  • aww i hope Beth was alright, Harry bolts a lot, its a horrible feeling of losing control :|

    xx

  • at the end "wow.... ok...." cracked me up :P well done to beth for staying on tho! bless herr :P xx

  • OMG very good riding! :)

First there, there and then they have gone!!

WOW I dont think i would of stayed on LOL well done Beth! xxxxx
