@JBoss567 Lol maybe you should play the game. It is a simulation, it may have bad graphics but you can improve it. Also this is probably one of the most realistic racing games out in terms of sound, handling and overall how hard it is. Rfactor is also 100% mod supported and therefore has endless possibilities. You can basically get any track and any car you want. No, YOU sir are fail.

@lolimadethisvid Is iracing open source? Can you download thousands of cars and tracks to it? Is it realistic down to the last nm? Can you go around Nordschleife on Nürburgring in any bleedin' car you want with anyone you want over LAN, VPN or whatever ? Can you do all this for FREE?

@limbride people that actually drive cars? some of the worlfds best racers use the iracing simulator to hone their skills on an unfamiliar track,or to practice there skills on a familiar track in which they may be racing in the near future. please name 3 known race-car drivers that use rfactor to do what drivers on iracing do. To answer your questions, yes, iracing is open source. you can not download thousands of cars, however, you can download over 25 cars including:

@limbride nascar sprint cup, nationwide, and craftsman truck cars, late models, legends, sk/tour mods/ silver crown/ street stocks, among others. for road course vehicles, you can download the williams fw31 f1 cars, a series of openwheel cars that escape my mind at the moment, mazda mx-5 cup/roadster/ pontiac solstice/ SCAA/ford mustang/corvette and/daytona prototype/GT1 cars. Now among race tracks. you can race the anything from the highbanks of daytona, to the famous limerock park.

@limbride to the fast paced short track of bristol, and the "paperclip" known as martinsville. you can race on the the worlds oldest track in america, that being the brickyard. these few are among over 60 famous racing tracks around the world. Now im not a road course kind of person, but iracing provides "school" tracks in which you can go race on tracks like lime rock, and hone your skills on the road courses. But that's not all, iracing provides the best racing surfaces possible.

Since iracing is open source, why are there only 25 cars and 60 tracks? Aren't the community making tracks and cars as they are in other open source racers?

I'm not really interested in Nascar racing. Circling the depot isn't really that challenging.

I only do boring road racing like in iracing when playing with someone who can't drive and isn't fit to go on rally tracks. So that's..never.

Can i do a B-rally at Lyngåsbanen? No I guess not.

@limbride yeah, a wall of text, i like to get my point across, and no, the community usually requests cars and tracks to be scanned at a later date. And i almost figured you were one of those people who thinks only road course racing is a challenge. Tell me, what series do you think the competition is higher, nascar, or F1 and indycar. the only part of rfactor that is any better then iracing is the fact that there is dirt track racing. and i dont play WoW, my son does.

But my guess as to which one is the most challenging would be that an oval track with 3 wide open corners is waaaaay harder than anything else. Except maybe for drag racing. God knows making a car go straight is maybe the hardest thing on this planet :O And, I think I covered this issue in my last, and compared to yours, short comment.

@limbride you may not watch oval racing, but there are at most 2 tracks in nascar in which they can run full speed, and since the competition is so tight, it makes winning on a regular basis extremely hard. i do agree that overall road racing tracks are more challenging, i think because they can actually run withing 3 seconds of eachother constantly unlike in formula 1, it makes winning and ceing competitve alot harder in oval racing then in road. But thats just my opinion

@lolimadethisvid I think you confuse the level of competition with the level of difficulty. Just because all competitors finish within 3s of each other doesn't make it difficult to achieve. The track and the cars will pretty much limit it so that no matter how good a driver you are you will not be able to drive faster than the track/car allows.

The more variables the bigger time gap between competitors. And F1 has more variables than Nascar.

@limbride well level of competition and level of difficulty go hand in hand, normally because of the high competition, it makes it much harder to compete/win a race. Most drivers do everything they can to innovate their racing line to have an edge over the competition, and it varies from track to track, if not it would be dull and redundant. i do agree that road racing is much more challenging when it comes to the surface, but when it comes to the racers, i think oval makes racing other drivers
