@InserteNombreRandom Spoiler intro big time. i remember after progressing some in the game i noticed all the things from the intro coming into effect. Kinda' takes the "oomph" out of some of the scenes and specially some of the epic bosses. Otherwise it's a great intro, and i guess you take the sour with the sweet.

Loved it up til the part where you have to go catch a friggin' fish. I gave up. Apparently according to someone I talked to, the game doesn't properly tell you how to get the fish you need, so I've still yet to retry it.

That's correct. Nier then tries it almost 400 times without you and you get the Shaman Fish.

It is the easiest way. If you fail often enough and the fish escapes then the story skips the next ~ 400 days (of course that makes no sense in the story itself since Yonah is waiting for her father/brother) and Nier has caught the fish without your help.

Aside from Mass Effect 2, no other game of 2010 has had me as captived by its story, characters, voice work and musical score than Nier has. Highly Recommended!

For me, looking back at the games I played in 2010, only Mass Effect 2 and Nier were able to stir such the level of emotions I felt with regard to their story, characters, voice work and musical score. I wouldn't want to say one is better than the other, because for me, they are very difference experiences with very different budgets and gameplay types.

I think the one who does Kaine's voice is Laura Bailey she's a very famous VA and she has done a lot of voices, especially for Final Fantasy she did Cloud of Darkness's voice in Dissidia FF and Serah from FFXIII.
