@lironess they DO fed homeless people. They have hundreds of organizations. The thing is, the media likes to talk about any scandal of them instead of the good stuff
It can actually be better for people to spend a great deal of money on a cat. Because of the price alone many bad owners are quickly eliminated. This video has nothing to do with the amount of pets in shelters. It is also a personnal choice to support any charity or organization. Since the HSUS is trying to destroy this breed because of it's parentage, any owner can choose another group that does the same thing as the HSUS.
Personally, I think this is 100% fine. It's not really your place to dictate how their money should be spent. And even if it was, having an expensive exotic breed really has nothing to do with the number of cats being euthanized. You could argue that a person should adopt a stay rather than buy this breed, but that's a question of the consumer's personal taste. Again, not up to you. Sorry about that.
I agree. But I would hope that someone who is passionate about cats and well off enough to spend $20,000 on one would be willing to donate the same amount to help The Humane Society.
one love!

I agree. And since this cat is a result of crossbreading I wonder what the long term health issues will be. Take care.

Yes it is sad but if you really want to get pissed off look at the Vatican and ask yourself how many homeless people that could have fed....
People who spend this kind of money on a cat are not interested in saving mere strays...just a fact of life...
I can not count how many strays I have rescued and I loved them all :)
