You have mastered the tricky art of timing in all your commercials. This is the number one thing that I see most videographers get wrong. You also are amazing at the props/special effects element also. ( I see the straw and the work doing it)..
Thanks I.M.. Yeah 6 hours of pre-production for 1.3 seconds of camera time. I am def. glad you notice the little things, coz some of them are the greatest investment of time.
Another awesome, original idea. This one has got to go National!!! Everyone will be watching tv just to see it again. Well, except us cuz we don't watch tv much, but I will have an autographed copy, I'm sure. Your kids do sign stuff, don't they?
Hey I.M. Thanks for stopping by the channel. Don't be such a stranger, but if all I can expect is your 'every otner month' visit, i guess I'll take it.
Hey, I watched the video. Our whole family did. All six of us. I have some glowing praise to send your way and will do so when i get a minute to breath. My Blog has exploded with new readers and I am bogged down giving reviews of Doritos spots. I will email you.
Poor Jared - exploded and bogged down? Getting too (in)famous for the rest of us, are you? That's okay, we'll be sure to keep you grounded. Even after JC gets another Doritos win!
Ha! I don't know if it was intentional but I love that you quickly tuned out the most often used (and possibly most annoying) Crash the Super Bowl stock track.
Yeah it was. Part of the conception of this video was that the judges wouldn't have to labor through too much of any single song. No it wasn't built 'from' that element, but was purposely factored in.
Yes! This was brilliant Jared. Your sons were great as usual but the premise was highly creative. We have to collaborate soon. I think our potential is limitless.
Jacob has band competition and needed to be at the school at 5:45AM. Saturdays are often more hectic than regular days..........Hey, why don't you get married and have kids?????
No word. They were supposed to announce a winner last Tuesday but haven't. Either they a) sent the affidavit out and are awaiting a signature or b) cancelled the contest without alerting anyone. I don't mind losing - but dislike the lack of closure! It's fine... time to focus on the current video I'm working on. Good luck.
Yeah, it is my pet peeve about these brands. Once they get the goods they feel no obligation to inform all of the creatives whom made it possible what is going on despite sometimes lengthy delays.
Thanks for stopping by. I wish I could help you out on camera advice. I don't shop around for them a lot. I use a pair of Sony HDRFX-1's and really enjoy them. They can be found on Ebay (used - that is how I bought mine) for about $2,000.00. Yeah I know, OUCH! Wish I could be more help.
Jared, you are a stone cold pro my friend! This is another great commercial. Loved it!! The work you put into these....I can't imagine...I CAN imagine...that's why I'm in awe. Sheesh. Amazing buddy.
Nine days from deadline (tomorrow), I decided to produce this script. I shot everything in one day (Wednesday) and edited the last four. The labor on this one was in four 15 hour days of pre-production. I had to make several things simultaneously. I would work on one thing while the glue/paint was drying on another. Really proud of my sons not flinching when several lbs. of dyed mayo splattered on them. Right after the mayo shot my son Jonah exclaimed it was a coolest vid we've done to date.
Thanks Chris, yes it was a ton of work. In fact all three of the spots I made for the Doritos contest were prop/wardrobe/set intensive to a greater degree than any I've produced in the past. I learned a lot and gained a greater respect for people who do pre-prod for a living.
Haha, very nice Jared, love the musical changes. Again, thinking outside the box, very cool. It would have been a tad better if you had been wearing that grey sweater, Haha, just kidding;)
Yeah but I am suprised that you didn't notice that the stenciled text from 'A Dutch Treat', can be seen to the left of the guitarist on the left. I covered it up for the 'Classical' musicians but then thought I would uncover it because 1) It kind of works as a rock and roll background, and 2) I wanted to see if you would notice.......all of that work and you didn't even see it. I am just not appreciated. {;-])
Yeah, I figured the judges are probably sick and tired of hearing any ONE of the songs in it's entirety so mixing them up (playing snipits) at this point couldn't hurt as an element of the story.
Bingo, I was trying to remember where I had seen this done before. I was so hoping it wasn't too recent or too similar to my version. I now vaguely remember it being an attribute of the Flintstone Mobile. I think I also remember seeing a couple music videos in the nineties that featured any number of bands playing 'inside' the radio. Hopefully, none of them stopped playing in order to eat their favorite snack product, ha ha ha ha
Haha. This reminds me of the Calvin & Hobbes joke where Calvin's dad convinces Calvin that there's a guy behind the ATM who pushes cash through the slot.
This one was really nice, especially the different setups for the band, though not as catchy as the previous one :)
God bless! Keep on making these genius shorts! :)

HAHAHA!!! Another winning "out-of-the-box" idea from you, Jared!
I am just awed at the original concepts that
you come up every time you produce a commercial.
Funny how the mini people in the car radio changes costume every music genre.
You even made large versions of the straw and Dorito chip. Hehehe.
Casting your sons is a smart way to get talents.
Well thought of and executed! 5 ★★★★★!
You never fail to amaze me, Jared.
I am forever a big fan of your work! X-D X-D X-D
