  • You've got yourself a career in music kid!!! Great vocals. Nice sad , mournful tone. Get yourself a buddy to fill in some 12 string background and cut a cd. Thousands of folkies will buy it. .

  • nice effort, but if have trouble playing error free for 9 minutes, why dont you record just one tune at a time?

  • Beautiful

  • Beautiful voice and excellent one person arrangements on the guitar. you are definately talented enough to play at live venues. Good job and thanks for posting!

  • beautiful, truly clear and insired, can you do van morrison and simon and garfunkel too?

  • Keep on keeping on brother.

  • This is great. You sound just like a young Tom.

  • Good going kid. Keep doing what you're doing.

  • brilliant congratulations. go cut a cd tell me i will buy it

  • Excellent picking and singing wonder if you could play the backing for I will Love You Every Time. I want to record it for friend . Thank you Great voice .

  • Stumbled on your Tom Paxton medley while looking for the man himself. Excellent. Keep it up.

  • Young man, you are very very good. As your voice (great as it is now) matures more, you will be a formidable entertainer. Your picking is amazingly like Paxton himself when he first produced these numbers. Keep it up.

    An ageing Paxton fan.

  • Your voice is beautiful

  • Wonderful you're great

  • Tom would be proud. I played this when I was a boy your age, now as I turn 50 I found this and cried.

    Thank You!!!

  • That was wonderful! Thanks for the post. God Bless!!

  • real good .. go try some more from peace will come album ... like she's gone to california ..... think thats it .. well anyway keep it up its brill

  • Very good. True to the original and absolutely spot on.

  • damn! you've got talent mate!

  • I have been listening to "Last Thing On My Mind" for 40 some years, and I really, really, really appreciate someone, well, younger than that botghering to learn Tome Paxton songs. Have you ever heard Doc Watson's version? If you are taking requests, Tom's song, Cindy's Tears", presents a good possibility.

Also appreciate that you took trouble to actually "pick" your guitar, rather than just strum chords.

    Please, please continue.

    signed,

    Ageing folk crazy.

  • Yes, very well done. Glad not every young person thinks rap is music.

  • i love ur voice

  • one of my favorite songs, and you sing and play it nicely. Cheers!

  • Sounds great! I was about your age when I learned this song. Now 57. Keep picking.

  • I listened to your recording of Rambling Boy a few months ago, and it stimulated my partner an myself to learn some Paxton tunes. And now they are a few of our favorite requests. Thanks, you do a fine job - especially your voice is pleasing.

  • Another winner! You do very well, indeed! Again, great to see Tom Paxton living on in younger folk like you!! Like a previous poster said, you might try Stan Rogers. If you don't know him, contact me and I can enlighten you! :)

  • Play the bass note of the tonic with your ring finger instead of the bird finger.

  • I get the feeling your reading the lyrics. But great job man. keep pushing yourself. Try Doc watson-Let it rain

  • I read the lyrics on my Amsterdam recording, but I've never done it on anything else. :{ Sometimes I just don't know where to look exactly when there's nothing to look at, so I just end up staring at the screen. But thank you for the nice words.

  • Oh haha just look up instead of down then.

The song was called deep river blues by watson.

You should try some elliott smith- every song he played live is genious.

You might like Stan rogers too-mary ellen carter, or north west passage.

Just throwing ideas I dont know. You have talent.

    good luck man

  • bravo!

  • you have great potential

  • realy realy realy special. how old are you. it sounds perfect

  • Great video- keep up the folk singing, awesome guitar playing too.

TP is a legend I've been going to his concerts in uk for yrs.

  • I've loved Paxton's music since-well, never mind-but I remember Pete Seegar introducing him as a newcomer. You do justice to his music. Keep on singing!

  • you are brilliant your guitar and your voice ,you should be on the stage

  • Great job, its good to see your playing music that has meaning that touches people. This is lost in todays music. Thank you for posting.

  • Great job! Paxton makes you think and cry at the same time and as always the songs have meaning which seems to be lost in todays music.

  • Really good song by Paxton and well preformed! I think you should be on the stage!

  • thanks to coming to the TOM PAXTON show in OKC tonight! Keep up with those studies and the PAXTON tunes!!!

  • What a lovely performance and a really nice tribute to Tom Paxton. Thank you for sharing your talent.

  • VERY NICE, TIPICAL FOLKSINGER

  • Wow - great to see someone with talent keeping up the heritage of great folk songs. Well done and good luck with your music in the future.

  • Thanks son . I am twice your age but it fills me with gladness that a young boy like you is singing and playing classic folk songs such as this . Most young people play and scream the mindless tuneless garbage of today , but when I see and hear young talents like yourself , I am filled with hope . Keep it up son , you play and sing beautifully . One for my favourites for sure . Andy

  • I'm nominating Kirobaito as"Official Minstrel of YouTube"!!! All who agree, comment here. Great repertoire, great performances! WOW!

  • Great performance.

This is the first time I've heard of Tom Paxton.

    Unbelievable, but true.

Would love to see you perform Ralph McTell's most famous song Streets of London.

  • Really enjoyed your video. I have been a major fan of Tom's since the early sixties and have seen him perform here in the UK many times. It's great to see someone of your age paying tribute to one of the best writers of simple songs there has ever been.

  • Fantastic! I am so impressed with this video. Not only do you play and sing beautifully, but you clearly understand what you are singing about, and the results are wonderful. Thank you so much for posting this.

  • Really nice looking songs.

  • He Kirobaito that was great. I love tom's early songs and try to sing them, but not as good as you do. I can see you love them to by the way you sing and play them. Nice to see a young chap continuing the tradition.

  • Wow, you're really getting into Tom Paxton. I never really did, but I love "The Last Thing on My Mind" and sing it myself about as often as any other song. I knew it from covers by P,P & M and Judy Collins, but I finally bought a Paxton "best of" last year and so have been learning to appreciate a few more. I also liked his song, "How Come the Sun," and i did hear that album, years ago. Mary Hopkin covered that. Great job on the medley!

  • I would love to hear you singing Donovan's "To Sing for You". Can I make this a request? I love your singing and playing. Plus a few of the songs of the late, great, Nick Drake. I believe Nick Drake died in the 60's, but his recordings just don't date.
