I've been think about motivation principles and I need (you reading this) your opinion. I saw watch?v=TROhlThs9qY a few days ago and it came off as hideous to me but most seem to like this attitude. I'm confused, do people want this as motivation or just seeing others insulted?
how true this video is! I work for a company that is supposed to be one of the best companies to work but treats everyone like crap. And i must say, that I do just enough to keep from getting fired. And when someone says "hey, if you dont like it here, why dont you quit!" I say "I can do more damage by staying here!"
I agree, but then again, I can't make a cup of coffee to save the earth and I'm to impatient to have to wait through the Starbucks line. so what am I gonna do?
i think you should consider using herzbergs theory-fulfilling your tripod needs. our tripod legs are made up of motivation (the will to make coffee), achievement (getting the coffee) and reward (tasting your coffee). you have to ensure your tripod remains balanced or it will fall over. if your tripod falls over self destruction (lack of patience) will take place. in addition please note your tripod can fall over with a strong gust of wind (external factors).
Dude, I said I can't make a coffee to save the earth, not that I won't because I don't understand the work-benefits thing. I just have no skill with the art, and yes, it is an art. Someone who has my coffee skills appreciates it so
Ha Ha that movie is soo funny!!!

Whoever uses Marine Corps boot camp as an example of poor motivational practice has never been to Parris Island and doesn't know shit.

in that case try combining malsows "3 way personality shuffle" and herzbergs theory of "stabalising needs in cuboid form".
i think you will be pleasently surprised.
azertyuiop32 3 years ago
no, dude. This isn't about personality. I just cant make a good cup of coffee. Put down the Text book and read what I'm typing

Love the video and the message. Not sure I could share with the whole team because of the drill sergeant getting his *** blown away. Thanks though!
