Beautiful lost edges and great use of light against dark. The pallete is striking and the concentration on the essentials focuses the eye into the portrait. Wonderful soft pastel work.
wish i could work in soft pastel, but it's too dusty for me and my allergies. maybe i could do similar work in oil pastel? i'm going to try today. anyways, thanks for inspiration. ;-]
The portraits are striking and unusual, Mike brings remarkable skill and insight to the execution. The slides are nice to watch-- but I would love to see more of the "process" itself!
