  • the characters in this ballet are simply inhuman and electric...i love it. so unique.

  • 0:26 I WANT THAT CAPE! I'd wear it to school and do that in the hallway! I don't care if I look like an idiot!

  • the music sounds different then when Igor Stravinsky made it

  • The Infernal Dance simply is the best part (together with the finale)!!

All dancers and the orchestra have to prove their skills!

Every time I listen to it, I question myself, what kind of genius Stravinsky was. Where did he get these enormous inspiration from? And I think, I will ask myself this question again for many times, because I can't stop jumping back to 4:15 again and again!

  • any one know the name of the person who wrote the music

  • @KingAwesome1100 igor stravinsky

  • This Swan lake has to rate like UN Heritage Ballet

  • i always laugh so hard when koschei does the poke

  • Gotta say, the close-ups are really corny. It should be shot from the stage, so the special effect glow-ey feathers are just a nuisance.

  • in my mind, this is where the thriller dance came from

  • She's not a bird, she's an angel!

  • Wow at the visual effect on 7:28!

  • The Infernal Dance!!! Found it!!

  • 4:16

    Infernal dance

always my favourite dance in firebird :D

  • Thanks so much for posting these!!

  • ... I can't help feeling sorry for the firebird. Nina energetically danced her piece and her acting (as far as facial expressions) seemed to be the best out of all the others. But it seems she got the short end of the stick, what with the prince pulling out a tail feather, calling her to save his sorry butt, and then he goes off to marry the princess.

Something that confused me though was the firebird turned into the princess and maidens at 6 minutes roughly. Is there a piece missing...?

  • @EnterTrueEmotion I agree, i thought that the Firebird was much cooler!

  • @EnterTrueEmotion But you have to remember, the love story is between Prince Ivan and the Princess and NOT between him and the wild and fiercely independent Firebird. The great early twentieth century ballerina, Tamara Karsavina originated the role of the Firebird. Years later, she was coaching Dame Margot Fonteyn in the same role, and by way of giving insight as to how to interpret the character, Karsavina told Fonteyn, “Firebird gives feather only to buy her freedom. Nothing more”.

  • Kaschei is one scary broad lol.

  • やや荒削りだが勢いがあっていい演奏だと思う。

    これくらいハメはずしたほうがちょうどいいと思えたほど。

  • OH We are doing this ballet for our spring ballet. I am a bat....

  • Now those are REAL garden pests.

  • I LOVE that moment where the Firebird just commands everyone to sleep/fall. Incredible energy!

  • @Lomelindi88

She does not comand them to sleep/fall.

She makes them dance tell they fall because they are just so tired.

  • @EAJBlack Rite of Spring much? =P

  • @Lomelindi88 I got shivers at that part... it's so intense.

  • badass

  • Wow!! What an amazing video. So well shot and danced. I think Nina may be my new favorite Firebird.

  • Chaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhhhh!!
