@ArturBB20 Yes, to me Nancy Wilson of Heart is the best female guitarplayer. I only have to listen to the intro of "Crazy on you", she totally swept me of my feet from the first time I listened to her. There are plenty women that can do a pretty good shredding on guitar, that is not so special anymore, but play like Nancy is something completely different.
Lori Linstruth is amazing because she was with Stream of Passion and is now working with Arjen Lucassen from Guilt Machine. She's the only one with her own very unique style.

What happened to Rude Girl is an interesting story to some people but the upshot, in answer to your question, is that the closest Rude Girl got to making an album is the Malibu Barbi EP called "Rude Girls" (sometimes available on ebay.) Again... long story. LOL Being a woman in metal is kinda hard, but it's getting betta. thanx for checking in and supporting us all! \m/

girls playing guitar sounds totally diffrent from the guys.it is nice but you hear the little diffrent way of thinking.some some good some boring in this list,when i think about good a good female guitarist i only can think of jenifer batten.the rest in this list for example surely can play but then the tone sux or other way around,but that's personal preferences.

maybe it might be equal the men and women around the world that play guitar,but it's typical for the men to shred why? because it's like 10 top shredding women vs 100 of of men shredding it into the top,i'm talking comercially.do you thing heart it's baracuda for instanse was as intense as child in time,any queen song,led zep songs,black sabbath etc etc etc top 100 tells the diffrence.there are women that work as electrician but there are more men doing that visa versa.

its not very rythmically varied. It somehow becomes a little too nice and orderly and prearranged - correct but not real experessive or cohesive. Sounds a bit like someone copying someone elses solo very well but without the original personality.
Altho I must say all-female bands are cheesy and I hate the fact that they have to be slutty to get attention, but when they had to compete in the 80's with dudes that looked like chicks well they had no choice I guess!

This is why I will NEVER buy any CD of a girl guitar player..............they try so hard,but Lack the talent to pull it off;there is ALWAYS something missing;either the direction is off,or the notes have no feeling,or the progression sounds fucked up.........And then on top of all that If I hear 1 that's half decent they start fucking with the wah,and turn it into shit! Ahhh yes, some of the great female guitar players of the 80's! I know of one that never made it to greatness but should have...a gal named Eileen Krauss from Chicago...she played with Sweet Revenge...just awesom! i think she still plays around town too sometimes.
Anyways...im going to watch part 2...hope to see Nancy Wilson of Heart in there somewhere...she is THE master of acoustic.
Phantom Blue's dueling guitars remind me a lot of the guitar riff to "Hotel California." Also check out my "Guitar Babes" play list. Very, very good. I love seeing women play because it seems so few of them do these days. And most who do only play simple chords. These women shown here are the experts!!

of course there are males who play horribly, and women who play wonderfully, but overall men are better at guitar because they can stick with it longer. with all of my friends who want 2 play guitar, 80%(12/15) of the boys are still playing while every single girl(9 of them) that has started has left their guitar in the back of the closet

sorry bad english but you need to listen to more phantom blue. i say you watch videos to youtube of fought it out, going mad, walking away and listen to some of the solo to be played. there are always two different players and i am not sure to who is playing which one but there is some very very melodic feirce playing, second walking away solo is the best

Phantom Blue's dueling guitars remind me a lot of the guitar riff to "Hotel California." Also check out my "Guitar Babes" play list. Very, very good. I love seeing women play because it seems so few of them do these days. And most who do only play simple chords. These women shown here are the experts!!

i agree that there are both good and bad female guitarists just like there are good and bad male guitarists. of those ive seen the most have been just as good as the average male guitarists, but lori really belongs to the real experts, her style is like no one elses

I'm sorry, but I cannot stand your statement as it generalizes women as guitarists which are not as good as men.
Don't lump all guitarists together. Just like male guitarists, some are lousy but some are just plain good.
I can easily say I play better than most men. Most of them on youtube doing covers just plain suck, anyway.

of course there are males who play horribly, and women who play wonderfully, but overall men are better at guitar because they can stick with it longer. with all of my friends who want 2 play guitar, 80%(12/15) of the boys are still playing while every single girl(9 of them) that has started has left their guitar in the back of the closet
and I don't think we should segregate guitarists in any way like this because there are good and bad ones in every variable.

Well, I'm sorry, but I have to say that your sample is not representative enough. Even so, I'm saying that you shouldn't be so quick as to make a general statement. Just my op.
I must also add that society's attitude encourages boys to play well and when women play they comment on how hot she is. And they will say she sucks even when she plays better. Jeez!

and in another one of these videos i made a comment about society encouraging boys 2 play more than girls, i really don't see what's stopping them, who doesn't want a girl 2 play guitar?? not that it's hot, well it kind of is but hell the more guitarists the better.

Yeah, admittedly some girl guitarists are embarrassing (playing Avril. etc.), but I'm more on the part where you sounded like you made a sweeping comment about men being better at the guitar. It's like saying women are bad drivers, that sort of thinggg.

sorry bad english but you need to listen to more phantom blue. i say you watch videos to youtube of fought it out, going mad, walking away and listen to some of the solo to be played. there are always two different players and i am not sure to who is playing which one but there is some very very melodic feirce playing, second walking away solo is the best
