  • Is it just me, or have someone showing his ass in a window of the red ship? LOL

  • да он как будто льда нечуствует

  • Там два реактора... Вот в нем дури-то, а!

  • @TheSergeff

  • Its funny really, how that ship has that much power you forget that its basically a floating nuclear bomb.

  • @Smithyards

    Because it isn't one.

Even a complete and total melt-down wouldn't result in a nuclear explosion.

  • crazy russians... love them!!

  • One of 14 ever built civil nuclear-powered ships

    USA build 1

    Germany -1

    Japan -1

    Russia - 11

  • Why cant finland build nuclearicebreakers like yamal :(

  • @MrRandom1300

Actually, Finland has built hulls for two Russian nuclear icebreakers, Taimyr and Vaigach.

  • I dont get why Russia never build a nuclear powered carrier like usa did

  • @HongKongKanto They actually had one under construccion in the late 80's it was going to be as big as a nimitz carrier, but they soviet union collapsed and they didn't have enough money to finish it, so they scrapped it. But they do have nuclear powered missile cruisers and submarines.

  • @bombarderoazul

They didn't scrap what was to be nuclear-powered carrier. After USSR fall it was left in Ukraine and they sold the hull to China. She comes to service now. Without nuclear propulsion though because chinese don't have the technology yet.

  • @Kamradec No, that's the kiev class. The carrier he meant was the Ulyanovsk class which was based on the Project 1153 OREL classs.

  • @HongKongKanto Because while they were building it, the Soviet Union couldnt be looted any longer therefor the great system collapsed

  • JAJAJAJAA AND THE "FAREWELL SLAVIANKA" SONG XD

  • Lolsky !

  • one of 7 Russian nuclear icebreakers - beautifull...

  • @Bruno47602 а ты хуй и мудак ок

  • O_O so fast...

  • @MeisterPropper13 because it has two nuclear reactors....

  • wooooow great......russian song.....coool...!!!!!!nice video

  • in soviet russia ice breaks YOU

  • Thats must be the most prestigious overtake i have ever seen!

  • As great as 50 Years of Victory is, I can't help but feel Yamal's Shark's mouth wins her/him (I think Russian's refer to ships as masculine IIRC) more cool points.

  • @TheFunktopus83 yep, russian ship is a 'he'

  • 3 people missed the "like" button. -_-

  • RUSSIA STRONG!!!

  • this song -military march actually is called "Proshchaniye Slavianki" (Slaw women's Farewell)- since Balcan war of 1912 it is the "highest honour" military salut performed as "good byu" for comrades-in-arms in Russia, so it is not that they did it "in style" as you write - in fact they honoured you as "comrades-in-mission" here...by the way this "50 years of Victory" icebreaker is nuclear powered...

  • I wish Canada would get there act together and get at least one proper ice breaker instead of these eight new medium size ones. Not nuclear but something capable of 2.5M+ of ice would be nice.

  • @joey3847

And what will they do if it gets stuck in the ice without fuel? Such vessels must use nuclear propulsion because they can't be refueled and must be built in series to be able to help each other in case of accident.

  • this is where Russia should drop off the asshole pirates!

  • Nuculear

  • Oh my, that's a BIG icebreaker.

  • Comment removed

  • Woooooooo thats is just power!!

  • lol@ them blasting soviet music

  • @tkinbk aha, "Farewell of slavic woman"

  • N412MC > Would the US fund something that is actually useful without feeding the military industrial complex? Get real!

  • Actually, with the way the ice is melting- there is no need for an icebreaker as powerful as the "victory"

  • you believe in those global warming fairy tales i see :)

  • Sure- wait until we build one and install OUR nuke reactors we use in our carriers which are 2 × Westinghouse A4W nuclear reactors 260,000 hp!!! (194 MW)

  • getting rid of 2 carriers?

  • Nope- we are only adding super carriers.

  • i agree with protfl...this ship is so fucking epic!

  • yay im from sweden :)

  • proud of my russian wife ;)

  • Impressive headway, and ship

  • Only for experienced MARITIME and OFFSHORE ENERGY workers

Place for brothers of the SEA

  • vao) it's amazing)

  • haha! the music! they allways play it! even when the trains head towards moscow they play in on a station! :)) never thought that ships do that as well!

ithink the music is Прощание Славянки :)))

  • o_O i think they play it when train leaves the station(maybe into russia) :) at least it makes sense.

  • well...sorry for my english...

  • anyway... epic scene... white abyss, huge red icebreaker and this song. there is smth of a miracle.

  • this is not "The Three Tankas"

    This "Farewell of Slavianka"

    PS

    beautiful ship

  • RUSSIA SUPER!!!!!!

  • @romancic09 еще бы:D

  • Yeah, the Swedish ship is not stuck in the ice and the Russians or anyone else wouldn't leave them if they were. Type in 'Sister Ship to the Rescue', and you will see a ship stuck in the ice on the Great Lakes.

  • i highly doubt russians will just leave their partner caught in the ice. if that's what you mean. I guess Oden just stopped for a while for some purpose)

  • Oden had just stopped for a while, it doesnt get stuck easily, it can handle 1 meter core ice. I did my military service on Oden back in 1999.

  • @ardamels01 ODEN can handle 5 meters of core ise

  • @grollen1 That's not what I heard when I served on the ship. However, I'm willing to be proven wrong, it'd be cool if it can handle 5 meters of core ice :)

  • @ardamels01 look at this: watch?v=7AL53xcvvoY

  • @51region Cool, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that is a nuclear powered ice breaker :)

  • can it be that the ship is actually driving at 30-40 km/h??

  • didnt kno the russians had humour :P

  • haha

  • Dear Canadian and Norwegian kids, the clip above shows exactly why Russia will get what it wants and the rest of the world will bitch, moan, cry, scream, talk about evil Ruskies on messages boards but will ultimately amount to nothing else.

It is all about nuclear ice-breakers baby....

  • A fearsome tugboat...hahaha...

  • If you want to lay claim to a territory, you got to be able to get there 365 days a year.....lol......let alone explore the place for resources ;)

These nuclear powered "tugboats" weren't designed to be fearsome.......the nuke powered, nuke armed Russian subs under the ice were ;)

  • LOL you people are retards... Hardly any ice there, Swedes and Russians had been working together, the Russian ship saled off before the Swedish ship. That's all.

  • Russia can made this nice ship... USA can´t... (I`m a braziliam)

  • that's stupid

  • Bravísimo!....(applauds) Bravo!...

  • Drugovi, ovo je najbolja pjesma ikada.

  • DO U think russia is trying to assert dominance over sweden?

  • Definitely.

Using their fleet of massive ice-breakers, Russia will invade Sweden, and give Ikea to their Mexican overloads as a good-will gesture.

It's all part of a vast and secret Mexican conspiracy to take over Lebanon, Taiwan, and Bangladesh, but shhh, tell no one!)

  • Are you mad? Mexico would never want to take over Bangladesh.

  • Yes, because the only way we Russians can get our hands on your precious volvo's is with our nuclear ice breakers.....lol

  • lol, ussr forever!

  • The music from the russian ship??? lol!!

  • yeah its song was made when our brother defed the Hitkler and Germany army

  • Go Russia!

    The best country.

And the strongest in the world (it is special for USA)

  • @morace250 you=dumbass ; )

  • @iamartem pfff Russia the strongest? ..If it wasnt for the U.S.A you would be standing in a bread line right now

  • @morace250 actually it was exactly because of the usa that we were standing in breadlines all through the beginning of the 90's. It's a sore memory for a lot of people, so you better not touch upon it. Fortunately, though, now the usa can go fuck itself :)

  • Absolutely spectacular. 3a Poccnr!

    -You Comrades from Nicaragua

  • The swedish Oden look like a lifeboat against this russian gigant :)

  • Shame about the reactor cooling system though, I have a few penguins down in the Antartic that have a lot to answer for.

  • This icebreaker is the most powerful in the world - a testament to Russian constructional ingenuity! Thanx for the video!
