  • To hardcore beat, i like the funky oldskool funny shit :D

  • Damn dude this is tight, the lyrics are wickid!!

8 people missed the Like button.

  • where the producers at....niggas like primo, ALC dre 9th wonder...DILLA!!!?

  • NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Respect Brotha!!! Que Viva El Hip Hop!!!!

  • Oh and how could you forget EPMD!

  • Nice song but Gang Starr should have definitely been mentioned! Why giving it up for half of the whack rappers that killed hip hop like T.I., Wayne, Nelly and Puff. Other names that could have been mentioned are Compton's Most Wanted/MC Eiht, DJ Quik, Nice & Smooth, Whodini, Above the Law, the Hieroglyphics crew & X-Clan.

  • Some of the names in the last verse coulda been replaced by people like Immortal Technique, Vinnie Paz, AOTP, Jehst, Chester P, M9, Akala, Klashekoff, Diabolic etc etc, there's just so much to name. Dope track though.

  • Who made this song ??? Its awesome

  • name music ?

  • Take out Master P. Xzibit, and Ja Rule. Jadakiss is wishy washy, too short if you really wanna get into detail he really isnt HIP HOP, but he held down the fort on the West Coast. Kanye West is also wishy washy (he lacks lyrical skill) but u know hes a great producer. As for Lil Wayne, he only turned hip hop because he received so many complaints and decided to give hip hop a try. U know he never really appreciated hip hop. 50 Cent used 2 b good. He watered down his lyrics like Jay-Z chose to.

  • imo Kanye got a killa flow n he comes thru lyrically tho truely not the best

  • why Nelly???? he was the first artist to truly start watering down the culture

  • Comment removed

  • I disagree, everyone knew Vanilla Ice is whack, even white people.

Nelly has followers who swear by him which makes him seem like a bigger player in the culture to people not in it. That portrays a bad light on hip hop thus watering it down

  • This track is contradicting itself. Majority of the names on the list are dope, but when he started mentioning 50 cent and Lil Wayne it was over. Its just my take on it though.

And no Hip Hop is not dead, it is alive everywhere around the world. Check out the hip hop from Japan. We got people like CL Smooth, Wu Tang Clan, Nas, and Lupe Fiasco, to name a few, collaborating with Japan to bring us real hip hop.

  • lil wayne has talent, people just get confused because of his autotune shit and the people he collabs with. hes the samuel l jackson of hip hop, if the price is right he'll do it. I wouldn't say he's in the untalented category like Soulja Boy and all those faggots

  • He has a few lines I think isn't so bad, but man i hear him on the radio too much and he sounds the same. Soulja Boy is gay, talk too much shit on Xbox but won't accept the challenges.

  • But, his rhymes blow! I might be able to stand them if he didn't hide behind the autotune, sure he's not soulja boy but he's the second worst damn thing!

  • props!

  • Good ass song, good ass beat, good ass lyrics...just shoulda left out 50, Lil Wayne, Nelly, Eminem, and Ludacris...

  • the lyrics are good.. needs a new beat and some one else one the vocals no dissrespect though.

  • All 50, Lil Wayne and Kanye could have been dope if they wanted to, but they Chose not to. Why?

  • who sung this song

  • So the 3 faggots that gave me a (-) like 50, Kanye, and lil wayne? Really? How did you get onto this page? Go listen your fag rock/rap lol, what a fucking disgrace to hip-hop. There's no good albumns coming out except maybe Bone Thugs N harmony's "Uni-5" and I heard Immortal Technique is comming out with a new albumn.

  • fuck 50. no one would even know who he was if it wasn't for the group Onyx, who 50 now talks shit on. and lil waynes first album was dope, but now he fucking sucks.

  • thats right, onyx is the shit, shut em down was one of my favorite albums

  • all good artists except 50, lil wayne, and kanye. Kanye reffers back to religion to much. Plus Kanye is mostly mainstream now and it's kind of sad.

  • this song iz recommened 4 people who thimk the new hip hop iz real hip hop (which iz not)

  • fuck! He don't sayin' bout Eazy-E! The biggest! With 'pac!

  • lil wayne and 50 killed it..alsmost a good as list too haha

  • damned language of shit therefore me not it itself

  • who singer the snog???

  • learn to speak english first, than I'll tell you

  • he wasnt speaking idiot

  • what? why are you speaking to me?

  • coz you're stupid and talking with stupid ppl is fun

  • not even close my friend

  • why did he say lil wayne?

  • i was just thinking the same thing... well i guess, because his old songs were the good ones... but now that he got so popular, he dumbed his music... so maybe he wrote this song back when lil wayne use to keep his longs lagit

  • Who is this song by?

  • Yea Booooy, The Real Hip Hop!!!

    Keep it up!!!

  • this is autos and vehicles? lol

  • they being 50 cent, T.I., Lil Wayne and Nelly?

I dont understand how people like them. Especially 50 cent. Whenever i ask someone why they like 50 cent they say the beats are dope. Thats because Dre and or Dre wannabes produce him. He has little or nothing to do with that and he sounds like a retard. Same for The Game, anyone from G-Unit, and everyone associated with that new movement of hip-hop.

And Lil Wayne has NOTHING to bring to the table except bad verses and poor attempts at cleverness.

  • True, but that had NOTHING to do with my comment

  • thats because it wasnt meant for you. my fault.

  • 3:31 is where the song should end. Lil Wayne? please.

  • Why so?

  • because most everyone he mentions before lil wayne is actually GOOD. His flow is bad, lyrics are laughable, and the subject matter is overplayed.

How are you gonna put 50 cent, T.I., Lil Wayne, and Nelly on the same list as The Roots, Common, Mos Def, Tupac, Biggie, and Nas?

  • Well they don't all suck; all their songs may not be good but they have their share of nice songs.

  • 1. cover your mouth with your hands

    2. in your hands make a wish

    3. post this comment three or more times

    4. and tommrow will be your good day

  • fuck, expected that to be shit when it first came on, that was cool but the last verse should have been left out

  • I like the song and the message, but I agree with most of the people. Master P, Nelly, Lil Wayne, Lil Kim, Foxxy Brown, Puffy, T.I., Ja Rule and 50 Cents can be left out. Other than that I like it

  • haha i think i the same

  • absolute truthj right there

  • agree. a few peps mention that done sold out to the game....but within some of the context, there are multiple legends.

btw, what ure take, is hip hop dead?

  • Hip-hop is eaither dead or dying sadly homeboy... There are few real rappers left in this sad sad game.

And the rapper I disagree with most is LIL WAYNE,that bitch sucks like shit,i dont see why he is so famous..overrated to the max man.

I hope ppl like Kanye,Common,Talib, and most Houston based rappers revive hip hop.

  • Good job man keep it up this's one of the history of hip hop

  • yeah u missed alot of hip hop MCs of todays age who still rap about real life..but it was a good song..big ups man keep spittin that shit!

  • THIS SONG IS HEAT

  • I personally do not like Lil Wayne, 50cent or T.I., but great song. You should look up Immortal Technique sometime as well!

  • half the rappers he shouts out in the last verse are the crap he's rapping against. not a bad song otherwise

  • cool song

  • did i see lil wayne, nelly, jarule and 50.u must be kidding me.those are not real cats, they are just of a hype thing

  • still part of the history now.

  • wow this was great and i can relate to everything that was said from back in the days.. good job on this hip hop history and keep it real.

  • now words awsome

  • yo, this track was hot fam! five stars from your boy Gallon! And dont forget to VOTE GALLON! ghost...

  • pac 4 ever and allways no one comes close

  • uhh ya sure wutever kid repesct to 2pac but try like nas krs-one empd ru-dmc dilated people common big daddy kane grand master flash dougie fresh just to name a few kid so wut ever they all even pass im they are tre legands and will always be true hip hop not hip not

  • Puff, Wayne and T.I are all mainstream rappers followin it for fame and money... but other then that, great song.

  • you cant deny what puff had done in the 90's though he brought out good acts and worked with future superstars...... t.i. is ok at times for example i liked what he did on superstar remix but im serious was one of his best work..... as far as lil wayne goes he needs to slow his role... we hear so many wack verses from him that it overshadows his good ones..... if he had just focues on the carter 3 instead of putting out 250 mixtapes in a week he prolly wouldnt be so bad

  • I really think if Biggie didn't die he'd be mainstream today with Puff and some of his songs were all about Parting and shit. and T.i. was ill before his last album, shit was whack. and Lil Wayne's trying to be like Pac, he tries to make 5songs a day like pac so in the future he'll still be remembered... but theres something different.. Lil Wayne has alot of haters... Pac is loved by everyone.
