Using a variac is kind of boring IMO. Trying with music is definitely the best method.

plug it into mains socket, that will sort it. Do it outside though, you may start a fire. Nice 50hz ''tone'' (normally)at silly high power just waiting at every electrical socket...

@tommk3cab It would have been better if i was discharging high voltage capacitors to the coils,maybe next time. Plugging it in isn't that great idea as i have 16A Breakers in the rooms and it would have been too boring to dig for the cables to plug it into stove's power line or boiler's which easily handle 7000w continuous each. The most fun thing is a variac.

yes...since when could you call such a crappy driver a "sub" woofer. It barely makes the requirements for "replacement" speaker in a TV or something...As for Logitech claiming deep bass, it probably doesn't even go below 70Hz, last time I looked (heard!) that wasn't "deep" bass...Not to mention the tiny diameter voice coil, small X-max (so much for high excursion, it's lucky to have 2 mm) and sucky ferrite magnet. If you want a magnet that small, use neodymium... ;)

Even when I used to listen to laptop speakers and FIRST EVER in my life tried a demo of the LS21, could tell the sub is weak, they are alright if you also use DFX audio enhancer with them. And finally, what demo system did you use to made your friend a shamed of his LS21 speakers?

@chrischoy9 The truly problem with the Subwoofer isn't really the Power as with 2-3w you can exceed 100db on a High Efficient Subwoofer,the problem is the Woofer Driver which is completely JUNK.

I got a cheap 4" Woofer for 4$ with nice suspension and tight bass in order to swap this.

It's way way better in quality than this one and goes louder because it has higher sensitivity.

The problem is that it needs a lot of liters in the cab and i have less than 3,so it sounds loose and quiet.
