Pema Chodron is one of the most intriguing persons I have ever seen. I ordered a bunch of books from her, ha. But her books are indeed very important for me. She went through a lot in her life. I went through a lot of psycho drama as well. She is like a mother for me. We do not have to give up our possessions to be free. Not even the ego. But we can learn to observe ourselves better, learn not to react out of emotions and deal with the emotions much more effectively.
It's the ego that tries to get rid of the ego. The key is actually to see the unreal nature of the ego. It is an object, if unreal, of consciousness. You are that consciousness. There bis nothing to do. You are already That.
