Oh! I remember Bridgestone Blizzaks!!! My mom had these on her car when a friend of hers gave them for driving in Bad New York Icy Weather! I swear if we didn't have these tires on my mom's Van. Well... We wouldn't have been able to get up the 25 Degree Incline to our house at the time! In short... These Tires WORK!!! Also they work perfectly on Ice! If anyone is driving in Bad, Icy Conditions,. I'd say get these tires!

I live in the coast mountain passes in British Columbia, we get the most snow out of all of Canada. Bridgestone Blizzak's on my Jeep Grand Cherokee and nothing else.

I lived in Moncton New Brunswick Canada for 20 years and it's a snow belt, meaning they get lots of snow throughout winter. I know a thing or two about snow driving and can tell you if you have snow - get snow tires. It could really mean the difference between life and death.

Oh and if you are a good driver and dont have some cheepo allseason tire you dont need a snow tire, unless i can see if you were on the northern east coast or up north.

Yes you do. Snow tires not only provide better grip in the snow, but their compounds are designed so that the tires remain pliable in cold temperatures. All-Seasons and Summers harden, significantly minimizing grip.

All seasons don't hold a candle to these WS-60 tires. I have a 400hp rear wheel drive vehicle and I need as much traction as I can muster and the all seasons while good aren't as good as these. My car had summers so I HAD to change it up. For the money I would recommend these WS-60's all day long! What they DON'T tell you is that they are pretty soft and wear at an extremely fast rate. Not all cars will have an issue with that though. FEI: ABS only activates when over a certain speed.

I live on arctic-circle and just happen to know from experience that good winter tires make huge difference on cars grip and handling. Some times roads here are smooth ice with snow or water on top. Thats like driving on ballbearings.

when you drive on snow, ice, gravel, it is better to disabled the abs so the car would skid, this makes the tires sink and maximize the surface of friction.

NOT true for ice. A tire can not dig into ice.

On gravel a locked tire can dig in and push up some gravel, same with snow. But it has to be pretty deep!

In ALL cases: without ABS no steering control when braking. I'll take ABS all the time!
