Back in 2006 I wanted to buy Fiesta ST! But when I sat in CZT and took it for a test ride I realized how much nicer that car was for driver. Better seats, modern dashboard design, more room inside and it looked so youthful! On the road it had so much more power from below! BUT it had to soft suspension!I solved that problem with installing harder and lower springs! Today it drives througt curves like devil himself! And I would change it for Fiesta double ST....

ST any day.yes a turbo motor is easier to tune thats a fact but the duratec is just as tunable you can get them running 330bhp easy with just bolt on mods,also on a standard bottom end and it spot on!

Yea, like if you are driving in real life, you want the car to lift off around corners. If you do want to lift off in a czt, you can turn the TC off using a little trick, but they couldn't show that on the show, so they compared a TC on with a TC off car, on a track - and that's stupid. And if you do want to buy one of these, you also want to modify it, and everyone knows that with a turbo engine you can boost power an additional and safe 20% with a modified software.

all colts can have there traction control turned off well i know a 08 ralliart colt if u turn key to reds before u start and hold in the asc button which should be next fog light button hold it down for few secs til it lights up and stays up on the dash then start the car that turns all safty stuff off pretty sure works for me and all u need to do to turn on is hit button when ever u need it back no need to stop or turn car off

Obviously you know little about power outputs as the 20bhp more means only a second quicker to the Kilometre. the ST is insurance group 13 and aimed at younger drivers, the clio is inusrance group 16 i think if not more - which makes it uninsurable for many especially for such a minor difference in power.

I have to be honest I haven't driven the ST Fiesta so i can't say anything bad about the way it drives. What I can so though for some reason warm and hot hatches often seem to want a friendly go at my Volvo 850 T5 when I'm out and about and I rarely fail to rise to the occasion. After a number of head to heads with both Clio 172 and Fiesta ST i can say with confidence that the Clio can offer a reasonable challenge at low speed but I can leave the ST from visibility in a matter of seconds.

They should have either switched on the traction control on the ST or otherwise switched off the ESP on the Colt (it can be done, you just don't have a button for it). Unfortunately, having one car with ESP on and the other with it off means that this 'result' is totally worthless!
