  • He should have made a storyboard for this video before filming

  • nice

  • LOVIN IT!!

    LOL

  • WHATS WITH THE FUTUREARMA MUSIC

  • u have very elegant-looking hands sir <333

  • video really starts at 2:18

  • Man! i like it!

  • No disrespect, but, Dude, I'm staring and waiting for more than a minute and you're rambling and just moving your hands around. Sorry...gotta go.

  • hmmm...hmm.hm...hmmmmmmmmm...

  • Did u tape the camera to your head? U are really awesome btw :)

  • have you been to manga collage yet?

  • @MyNoob14 nope

  • @WhytManga REALLY well your fantastic at drawing anyway

  • @MyNoob14 there actully very rare but i found 1 in japan called KYOTO SEKIA UNIVERSITY which specialises in manga anime and other art

  • Dude, I heard you like Bleach, so I put a Bleach on your Bleach, so you can Bleach while you Bleach!

  • turtle!

you are a true artist and i love the candle jack book :')

  • That Turtle and Kangaroo looked TOO BEAST! Lol

  • I created a script but I don't feel like I gave enough detail on what I imagine the characters are doing. I want to hand my artist the sample but I feel I'm going to confuse her, or seem like a jerk for expecting her to understand something incredibly vague, but I also don't to waste my time if she does understand. Should I do a storyboard or just explain it to her when I show her the script?

  • @IvonGomezgirl i knw exactly what you mean, try just explaining it to her when you give her and ask her for the parts she doesnt understand and you could story board just those parts instead of the whole thing.

  • I tend to do pencilled story boards that are basically my drawing's pencilled sketches. I then scan them into my computer and make them a background layer. Then I zoom in and use ms paint to ink the black lines. Then I go to gimp and do coloring, then go back to ms paint for the lettering and speach baloons. Is this a good idea, or should I do it differentley? I use a script I make before the story boards to plan out the story boards.

  • @MrDreamblade this is fine, as long as it works for you

  • do u create a script or just do it on the storyboards

  • @MrArtyboi51 sometimes i create a script, it helpful

  • background music reminds me of Futurama.

  • Goddamn he can draw

  • u could draw and nice storyboard

  • does this music make anyone else think of crash team racing from the ps1?

  • man u are amzingly awesome with anime!! >:D

  • man you're really good at drawing but you made one mistake(not really totally considered a mistake) but when you make storyboards they are suppesed to simple as hell. like you can go from stick figues to like a sloppy body(form the basics like a manakin) and you can differentiate by like just sloppy hair or big eyes

But your still beast keep goin

  • @KIZARUandKISAME i see what you mean, storyboards, too me, are not supposed to be simple as hell, they are to be simple enough for the artist to serve as a blueprint, some blueprint s are detailed like and some are not (stick figure). it doesnt matter whether they are detailed or not, it depends on the artist. for me? i like things detailed so i know exactly what's going on in my manga and i feel more comfortable. but its cool, thanx for the comment, because i forgot to mention this in the vid.

  • Hey, thanks for making this tutorial. There's some helpful information here :D

I'm curious: what's that music in the background with the bells? I'm digging it.

  • y do you keep skipping passed the art so fast!!! its awesome!

  • You should be a hand model lol xD! But anyway, your storyboards are so nice and neat!! :o Mine are always messy with notes all over the place. I look forward to Candle Jack and all other projects to come! Keep up the good work my friend. :)

  • @Yukichansart thank you..but candle jack was out 10 months ago..lol...its on my deviantart, check my gallery's sub-folders and i have improved since then artwise and story wise...thank you for your support

  • @WhytManga Ahh I knew that I ment to say your new one coming out, BLACK: The Prophecy. =3= My apologies. But you really are amazing. :) I am amazed by your talents and I will work my hardest to become as good as you one day! :D

  • You really put a lot of effort in making Manga (:

You're gonna go a long way as long as you keep working hard (:

    Good luck!

    - BChik

  • How old are you whytmanga.

  • @myassin2009 over 9000

  • @cartmanisafatninja WHAT 9000????

  • what about if your use an online thing like manga studios ???

  • @AnimationsByRobert he does, its just that he only uses it for dialogue i think owo im not sure :o

  • In order to draw you must have big ass hands.

  • @Alvosploio I have fairly small hands XD

  • @Alvosploio ist weird how u say that cus my hands are freakin huge lol

  • i want the beat in the background plz.....D:

  • @ARCxBEETLEx72 It's the Futurama opening theme.

  • @TheroMakepe nope its not, sounds like but its not, its from royaltyfreemusic(dot)com, cant remember the name

  • @WhytManga oh for real? I was dead sure it was Futurama, but you're right I just noticed it actually sounds like a lighter version.

  • fruit.....YES peel tht fruit dude LOL :D

  • @WhytManga oh yea I forgot I had just woke up

  • Hey where do u get that skecthbook plz respond

  • @KidManga69 an art store..lol

  • man u a beast bro

  • Hey, I have a question. I'm a manga writer and i have to draw draft storyboards for my artist and there are scenes I wrote down that is hard to draw, like a war scene with blood and flying body parts. How do i do those sorts of scenes, do I just watch war movies or copy them from somewhere?

  • @MrTaikobo try explaining ur vision in extreme detail to ur artist if u can draw it, or give the artists examples of ur idea, u can find pictures on deviant art or google and let the artist come up with something similar but in his/her style...or u could just draw to best ability and find out how good your artist is to convert that to what you want, you could come up with other ways too, these are just my first ideas for now..thnx 4 d commnt

  • @WhytManga You're an awesome drawer! How long have you been drawing?

  • @LordSesshomaru028 14 years, but i really became good after 6 years, but i reached my current level a year ago (in my opinion)

  • @WhytManga Wow. That seems like a lifetime to me. I just started drawing, like last month, bro. Any tips for a rookie?

  • @LordSesshomaru028 keep it up and never stop, and read comic.manga, watch anime/cartoons alot!

  • @WhytManga Alright! I'm on the right path then. LOL. Thanks.

  • that sketchbook... is it A4?

  • @Mangaa21 i dont know what it is, but its a bit bigger than a4

  • @WhytManga A3? :D . can you take a look at my manga when i upload it? well... i mean i still working on it.(have not uploaded it yet.)

  • So your saying a story board is like scenes in order for comics/animation.

  • @MultiGoruto yup....kinda

  • thanx for the tips... an orange really?

looks like the pages are giving you grief...

it'd be easier if you mark the pages out od the book...

  • thanx for the tips... an orange really?

it'd be easier if you mark the pages out od the book...

  • thanx for the tips... an orange really?

  • @RedVibeStudios thank you!!

  • what type of paper do you use to actually draw the manga on?

  • @RockTell123 B4

  • en dirait que tu parle avec tes mains MDR

mais tes dessins sont joli ^ ^

your drawings are very good *_* !

  • @naruto1995ist thanx

  • The main reason why people can't get out on paper exactly what they imagine is because they use story boards so its set cause they're afraid they'll get it wrong. To the contrary, if you trust yourself and draw on impulse just from the ideas you already have in your head, your drawings will come out more accurately to the imagination, that's why pencils are used first in the first place. No offense Whyt but that's what I do, just sharing knowledge...

  • @Ztrigg none taken, but its not just about having the image in ur head, having the image in ur head does not help you organize the pages wisely. if you were given say 20 pages to do, you can just freestyle it with a pencil just like that, what if ur drawing and you realize that now you need 4 more pages to finish?, you have to star erasing like crazy, trust me ive been there, if u have story-boards you will be able to organize the pages, not just that panels.

  • @WhytManga dude there are many more reasons y story-Bs are important not because artists are afraid that they'll get it wrong, why do u think professionals who rarely make mistakes story-board, its not bcos of accuracy cuz they already are, it could be bcos mayB they have 2 poses for a char and can't decide they story-board both and see which is better

  • @WhytManga , when im done with the one shot i will also post my storyboards, so when u compare u see their importance, trust me, like i said, i'll go more into story-boards soon

  • Your storyboards are really sick. I put my story boards on notebook paper then put a rough draft on printer paper, then use thicker cardstock type paper.

    -_-'

I put way to much detail in mine... for some reason I inked the first seven pages... in a notebook :P

  • cool your entering the yen + talent search: D im thinking about entering as well. Nice storyboards dude : )

  • hiii whytmanga's hands!! dude even ur storyboards are epic! wats yen plus? imma google it :P

  • sick, cant wait for the actual pages!

  • Dude your work looks awesome

the storyboards i draw are like...stickmen desperatly trying to be awesome LOL

yours are all detailed and shiny n stuff

    awesome, wanna see more :D

  • Your art style reminds me of Bleach.

  • @olisaoli ikr

  • 32 pages... hmm, you're participating on Yen Plus talent search? nice :D

And OMG! You are crazy! There are people calling me crazy because my thumbs/storyboards are too detailed, but you, geez, you make them even more!! o.o

    Nice tips though xD

  • @filipe34p dude, ur smart, yen plus, you are correct, plus hey!, its good to be crazy, it didnt take that long anyway

  • @WhytManga LOL xD Mine took a while ( i didnt have much time to work on them though), and yeah! Crazy is fine! :D

  • question how many pannels do you put on one page

  • @megazt6 totally depends on you, it could be 1 or 2 or 10, just make sure that it doesnt look squeezed together, people have different styles and ways of making manga

  • wow those are some detailed storyboards man! One question about how long did it take for you to draw a page of the storyboard? I find it takes me an annoyingly long time to do them.

  • @mangaS0L dont know exactly, but i know 6 pages took like 40 mins, the whole thing took like a day, ididnt do the whole thing in a day, but all together it took a day

  • @WhytManga thanks man, that makes me feel a little better cause when I make storyboards(if I do, I usually just go with the flow) it takes me like 20 mins for 1-2 pages,

  • wow those are some detailed storyboards man! One question about how long did it take for you to draw a page of the storyboard? I find it takes me an annoyingly long time to do them.
