  • lol @ 0:46

  • looks pretty clean, and easy. not bad when some one wants to start out. But this seems to be for beginners and not the big leagues what so ever.

  • Whts the Song Its Cool

  • needed inspiration for next project, and this video did it! pumped to do graffiti on the street! :)

  • Dope song. I'm also guilty of tracing off of my monitor due to lack of printer/ink.

  • lmfao slippery when wet, great concise to the point vid thanks

  • straight to the point

  • nice vid

  • stolen by pictures from Other People thats not really art

  • Thank you so much! Really helpful!

  • NIce,but make sure that you are not going outline.Protect your edges or simply add more paper at the edges :)

  • @VisneCrew2009 In this case I like the effect of it going outside the border

  • @VisneCrew2009 depends on what style or look you want in your stencil, in most cases i'd say don't spray outside the stencil, but the frame adds to this piece nicely

  • Awesome song man whats the name?

  • @ConeTemp Brad sucks - Dirtbag

  • this is fucking horrible dont teach people if you arent good and you used photo shop and it still looked like shit thats not right

  • i try doing it by hand, but....i can't seem to cut the thing right. I use scissors.

  • lmao looks like you just did that on your floor

  • lawlz

  • Free and easy stencils @ flickr.com/photos/stencil_h

  • song?

  • ur "fix holes" part failed too btw xD

    lol no offense..

  • Dude ur spraying skills are disturbingly sketchy.

Thumbs up for making stencils tho :p

I'd give you more props if u would try not to overspray, and if u spray the stencil when its hanging on a wall works better than spraying when ur stencil is on the floor. Cuz cans arent made for holding horizontal, the spray becomes unequal and splattery like diarrea :p

    P's

  • Fuck yea Graffiti art and Brad Sucks. Couldnt ask for more!!!

  • terrible thts a rip off!! y cant you draw an image as simple as tht? thts just straight copying... i could see sooooo much detail you lost when you used tht filter. you couldve atleast just copied the picture before hand then you could redisign it on paper id give you more credit for that..

  • where can you download that program?

  • @DICKLIGHTSKATECREW btjunkie.org

  • why do it so fast u twat? how the fuck are we sapposed to learn from this if ure doing it like uve got steroids shuved up ure ass.

  • ex acto blade

  • tooooooooooooooo quick

  • its not a whole its a bridge and i think they make the stencil look cooler

  • What's the sharpest knife money can buy?

  • @sidthekid2009

    just get any blade

  • @sidthekid2009 Katana.

  • OMFG THIS IS A SHIT!

  • what band is playing?

  • Brad sucks- dirtbag

  • The band so coppied day of the new

  • hehehe no printer :) i print my stencils the same way

  • so much easier to just put ur ic under the stamp filter and print...

  • nice overspray

  • lol

  • you couldve posterized it to #2

  • wow, i admit i do stencils and their not really hard but holy shit dude you suck i'll post some of mine and add the link here later

  • CHILL

  • i recommend using duralar for making stencils. grab a few heavy nuts/bolts to hold the stencil in place, and if you have the funds purchase a stencil burner. have fun

  • There are a few things I would do differently if I was you.

    A. Your first spray paint threw the paper should be spraid onto cardboard or water proof paper. Or you can cut the printer paper with more sturdy paper under it (save a step)

    B. When you touch up just spray paint it again, don't smear.

  • song ?

  • Brad Sucks - Dirtbag

  • doesnt the beggining sound sooo much like Touch Peel and Stand by Days of The New???

  • 0:49 funney love street art

  • awesome!

  • dude, you're a toy

    no artistic abilities

  • wow look at that overspray

  • those who do these steps fucking noobs at stenciling.

  • Yup, like me. Never held a spray paint can in my life, but Ima give it a shot this week..

  • Comment removed

  • I want to stencil T-Shirts. I bought a can of spray paint especially for stenciling. Is that really necessary? Thanks for the input!

  • no but it helps for small parts on certain stencils

  • well thats a waste of money

  • yer nice vid but waht did you click on to cut the pic

  • i needed a good vid. andi got it thank u very much! good job

  • nice!

  • making stencils with photoshop makes me think of paint by numbers. that is the analogy i was looking for!

  • personally i try to use computers in the stencil making process as little as humanly possible.

the most i will do is print a picture. otherwise it's like you're just making some clip art for the sidewalk....it's valid but it's not particularly interesting.

  • how do i get sharper edges on my stencils? at the moment the paint goes underneith the edges and makes the lines blurry.

  • @SQUIZZLER24

Push the edges down with something, like a thin pen.

  • wow that was cool :D

  • dude they come out way better if you just print it out in black and white and do it all yourself.

  • what are the levels of brightness and contrast??

  • nice and simple tutorial, thanks

  • is this paper he is using?

or what kind of like.. stencil material could i use

al the paper i have seeps through..

    and cardboard didnt work either

  • what i do

if all i have is paper and i run out of photo kind of paper

is either use 3layers of plain A4 or just use paper from magazines

but otherwise i think photo paper would be the way to go

  • Go to your local graphic art and supply store and get oil coated stencil card, or check for it online. google search

  • 0:30

  • what´s the name of this song?

    you are pryddy good

  • stencils ftw.

  • shit sorry rhetorical question.

  • hey nice vid. whats the name of this song?

  • can you give the link of the image!!!!

  • Slippery when wet? That's what she said.

  • you can also do threshold, this tutorial is best for low quality stencils.

  • lol, oops no printer :P

  • i always just draw mine on 11X18 drawing paper, laminate the other side with packing tape and cut it out. i dont have adobe but i like drawing...check out banksys book, got it in borders! awesome!

  • i wouldnt suggest fixing the holes with your finger,, (FINGER PRINTS) if its illigal... just putting that out there,

  • caps arent going to fingerprint a graff piece

  • fingerprint for a graff artist...?

  • nice wat music is this !

  • retard .. just saying ;)

  • sweet, thanx man

  • dammit, i cant find that song on youtube

    send it! haha

  • I can't find that shit eithrer!!!!!!

  • wow that was cool :D

  • lagging much, but good teach 4/5 :D

  • ive been stenciling for about 4 years, and ive always done it the old fasion way, but watching this just opened up so many doors for me, technology applying to street graf.. haha thanks bud

  • dude.. this is the hard way for me xD this can be done so much MUCH easier lol..

  • your "fix holes" thing ruined the picture...but well..nice!!! fuckin totally nice!

  • this iz cool nice vid but ur can controll iz horrible you had 2 go over it like 7 times + you were going outside of the square although im not sure if u did that on purpose or not

  • thats a cool technique

  • is there any way to do this without adobe photoshop?

  • yea you can print out a picture or make yourself one and find the darker spots of the photo yourself, trace it and cut it out.. or you can like.. draw something yourself.. really simple like a logo or something or something you wrote.. use your creativity thats where its about. just be carefull that you cut it out the right way.. just practise a little..

  • yer there are websites that have pre made stencils that all you need to do is press print, bye two cans of paint and your ready to terroize your neibourhood... be safe, be good at it, and most important have fun!!! good luck champ

  • i love this song

  • how did you get rid of the background yet keep the picture by the way i have cs3 so it might be different but still please reply ASAP

  • How do you stick it up against the wall?

  • use tape?

  • Besides from that it's no wall, it's a table and the wet paint will keep it down on place, even on horizontal walls.

  • man thats badass, whats teh song though its mint

  • Did you make this?

If you do could you send me the picture of the southern after you lasso tooled it?

  • oops, no printer! :D

  • might as well have drawn it yourself and used fuckin blowpens im sure they'd do better than wtv the fuck you used

  • CHECK MY STENCIL VIDS!!!

  • did u use cardboard or paper or wat??

  • It's too simple. You could do a lot more with color pictures. If you wanna get good at stencil graff check out stencilrevolution dot com.

  • I can't enter the site anymore. well I can open the site but I can't open the photogallery? any advise?

  • The gallery has been down for months unfortunately, but you can often find good stuff in the forums, just be warned about 1/2 the people there suck and just try and act cool.

  • ok man thanks

  • No prob man. Also check out my favorite graff site ekosystem dot org. Theres some really good euro stuff on there and its got plenty of stuff cuz its been up for years. Its basically a non hiphop graff site.

  • if i knew how to make videos like this i can shwo you how to make a 8 layer stencil on CS3 in less than two minutes.

  • what's the name of that program how he make that

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • yo i was wondering do u have to use photoshop or can u use paint or picasa???? plz write back anyone wo knows

  • u can use any software u have if u can get the results u want (most programs can chance brightness and contrast, the blur and the cutout are more specialized. u can even sketch it freehand from a pic or something. Just remember not to leave islands, and if u have to leave one link it with a bridge (like that black spot in the cheek on the video)

  • nice song where can i find it!!!!!!

  • stenciling isnt dead think about bansky and borf stupid guy betheath me

  • and d*face and ame72

  • and d*face and ame72

  • blek le rat

  • thanks for reminding me that the art of stencilism is dead.

  • nice! maybe you would like to check my vids?

  • I just wanted to make a correction even if the comment was from two months ago... The song information is actually

    Title: Dirtbag

    Artist: Brad Sucks

    Album: I Don't Know What I'm Doing.

  • @ ofser573: don't buy it, borrow it ;)

  • wow that was pretty crappy

  • well done!!!

  • you need to get some more detail but good work so far try using threshold as well

  • it looks like crap, and the reason is you're using the cutout filter, which is bullshit. instead, use the gaussian blur on the picture, desaturate, and then use brightness/contrast to get the desired picture. worry about bridges later, don't paint them in; it looks conspicuous.

  • up with analog down with digital, photoshop's got no flava

  • dope stuff man

  • that good brother, letsgo whit the stencil

    saludos desde el salvador

  • wat type of photoshop do you use and how much dose it cost?

  • This is why street art is dead - already. Kids photoshopping images and cutting them out. There's no skill or soul in that, just a bunch of rubbish. So hanks Melodramatic Martha Stuwart, can you show me how to make my own graffiti art center piece next time.

  • Yes you may be right theres not as much originality and imagination at work if you do it by the computer, but either way theres is lots of creativity when you use programs like that in photoshop. So many different outcomes in a picture.

  • I think he's just showing one way of doing it, if you prefer you can do it with your own design create just by you. But it just depends on how U go from own graffiti to ur finish job.

  • Ok dickhead when people use Photoshop for stenciling (you will find most people do)it doesn't mean they are copying another artists work if you have used Photoshop your self to make a stencil (seems not) you would know that you can choose how the image looks and just play around with it. THIS IS PART 1 OF A 2 PART ANSWER

  • Photoshop just helps you set it out, and saying that stenciling is dead means you haven't been getting out enough cos there are still some great artists making some great stuff. This video is how to make a stencil its just showing everyone an easy way so they can give it a shot. THIS IS PART 2 OF A 2 PART ANSWER

  • SONG

    Title: Dirtbag

    Artist: Psycraft

    Album: Computech

    by TrackID

  • Good video, and for anyone who wants to do this type of thing with paper/cardboard/cardstock, etc., buy yourself a good X-acto knife. Just a little aside..

  • song?

  • kool idea, hate the pik

  • That was pretty cool, but handstyling puts more feeling and soul into it.

  • The Program is Adobe Photoshop.

  • what program did u use

  • thats rele gd

im gonna stick to handstylin though

  • Your good. It took me ages to do just my initials.

  • i really don't see what the need for the computer editing is. just draw it freehand and forget all the technical junk in there. you think it would be hard to cut lenolium? paper in one of those single use kinda things

  • you really dont see what the need is?

  • when u make a stencil do u use it a fuckin 1000 times?coz i dont feel da same even when im doin it 4 da 2nd tme

  • lol.

    Trace on screen.

    Ghetto, but it works!

    Stay up man.

  • mandou super bem !!! tu é Ukara. hehehe

  • copy of the screen?! thats one way to save printer ink

  • I had to do this recently, but I became so disenchanted with the tediousness of it, that I just sketched it freehand.

  • Not bad, keep it up.

  • wat program u use

  • the program is photoshop 7 i believe and you can download it for free from limewire

  • No, it's CS2 or CS3.

  • well it looks the same so how can you tell?

  • looks cool with the shitty paint

  • what is with that pic its the secound person on youtube that used that pic?????? also i just use pictures and compare and contrast with my mind on what cuts i need to make it much harder but it comes out way better!! but your way is nice too!

  • awesome!!

  • hey q1w2e3 it's called a ex-acto knife you can get them a hobby lobby.

  • thanx

  • where can I get a knife like that one?

  • go to any place they sell model cars (the ones you built and paint from scratch, the japanese ones... tamiya or whatever) and they'll have near there for cheap... or go to any artistic store and they probably have it too.

  • nice tutorail

man I heard this song a while back and loved it, but had no clue what it was. Now I know but I can't find it.

  • gimme a link to that photo, please
