  • You knuckle heads should have listened to the dog.Its 2012 and I'm still laughing.

  • That is some funny sh*t right there. Even the dog figured out they were going about it the wrong way.

  • It's sweet how dude sprints-slalom like to get thru fence. . . Like OJ

I love how the ladder that is just sitting there could be propped under the tower. . . instead, let's just have dude hold it. Stupid bitch filming could at least made herself useful with a locking block and tackle, just like raising a sailboat mast. even a kid could raise that shit up. Then your strongman just reels it in. DURRRRRRRRRR

  • Trying to get past that 45 degree angle is the hardest point the should have had a rope on the top and some one pulling on it

  • @n1qeh62 THANK YOU. see my comment.

  • No, the dog was saying "Jerk, Jerk!"

  • 3 men who have failed to understand the concept of leverage.

  • I think I saw a marble fall out of that guys pants leg,or it was blue like a marble anyway! LOL

Glad no one was hurt, did one of your voices change about midways ? Is the tower up now? The suppositories work better than the cream ! All joking aside, hope you got it and be careful, and shut that dog up its causing you to be distracting and can't give a 100% at pushing.

  • there should be a rope tied to the other side and someone pulling it from the opposite direction....and that ladder on the ground should have been used as a stand.

  • ااااااا

  • Even without the obvious rope, if the chump holding the camera had of helped, they might have stood a chance.

  • @Meduzi yeah..its the camera mans fault..lol...joke....wheres video 2?

  • hahaha! to funny!

happy none of you morons got hurt :)

  • You should have had someone on the roof with a rope to the tower and they could have pulled it up as you pushed! We learn we learn DUH!!!!

  • is the dog laughing at you guys?

  • someone didnt eat theyre spinach. oh well give them a beer for the effort.

  • lol

  • you need 2 guys pulling on a rope the other side, of course the proper way is to use a winch. wakes it easier if it needs to be lowerd again.

  • Hillarious! Thank for posting. Everyone rolling onto the grass in exhaustion was the perfect finish for this video.

    Ray ..._ ._

  • It's called physics boys, read up on it.

  • Thanks for having the guts to post this video. LOL

  • All along the dog kept saying "STOP... STOP... STOP!

  • ha ha the smallest tower i ever seen well done lads ye made my day.

  • The dog was so right.

  • did you happen to copy Laurel & Hardy antenna raising episode? I believe you had direct access and copy knowledge. That's another fine mess, OLLIE!

  • One guy on the roof with a rope would have been easier...LOL

  • As an old time CBr we would put a tripod on the roof with 20 feet of mast and guy wire.

  • get a wrinch hook to it from the vechicle be alot easier

  • that barking got me...lol

  • LOL

  • Excuse me , i think it takes 4 people to do that one with a rope tied to the tower at the top pulling while the other 3 are pushing the tower up.

  • Amazing job controlling the expletive language guys.

Had one of my expensive Beams been hanging off the top of that tower when it was dropped, I might have said a bad word or two.

Gravity. Don't ya just hate it sometimes?

    :)

  • Hi, Hi -- Jeez - I had the volume turned up while closely watching the struggle and when the dog barked I jumped - Could the boys not have used the ladder laying against the fence at a prop!, and raise the tower in stages - well that calls for another beer - woof- woof.

    73

  • Looks like some old cheap ass Vulcan tower

  • Guys you made me laugh. lol It is for that reason that all antennas is in the roof of my house, is more easy and with less risks,

    Nice video

  • Hmmm...This calls for an other beer! LOL

  • Thanks for posting *like*

  • Did ya learn anything? ehhe Long rope, over roof, attach to car, go very slow!

    Watching Sequel.

Nice vid, I enjoyed that. I grinned.

Glad the fence saved the antenna from major total rebuild. ;)

  • take time to change out of your p js

  • radio tower fail

  • Remids me of my CB days... before I learned the right way to put up a tower... and that was just a baby tower...

  • Yep, back in our CB days we put up many nearly twice as big so we thought this small one would be a piece a cake. NOT. ;-)

  • It's best that you drink a few beers before watching this video...

I did, and i could hear the dog saying "It's not gunna work fella's, it's just not gunna work...."

And then the dog said " I told you so you idiots"

When erecting a comm's tower, always take a dog.

If it starts barking, you know something is wrong !

Why didn't they use a rope and a car ?

I dunno, all seems silly to me.

    using a winch on a 4wd always works....with a pulley....

  • Looks like someone was asleep during the science lesson on levers :)

  • two words

    "Gin pole"

  • hahaah i whant to see you whit a 30mts tower asembly hahaha nice

  • Even the dog didn't like it.

  • I'd suggest someone in a vehicle left of the camera with a good, healthy rope tied near the top of the structure, pulling slowly once the ground crew gets it up around 45 degrees. I'm actually surprised this method did not compromise the structural integrity of the tower. Even erecting it section by section with a gin pole would not be out of the question...

  • At one point I was reminded of the famous Iwo Jima flag-raising picture.

  • It was at 1:08

  • LOL

  • @gabbyhall The problem was, that it was tower top too heavy, and you fellas were fighting a loosing battle from the very begining. If you fellas at the bottom had slipped, and let go that tower, the fella on the roof, with the rope, could have been yanked off and badly hurt, or even killed. Build a tower, section by section till it's finished, that's the safe way of putting up a tower of any size.

  • very good i have to give atleast a 8,lol

  • The dog says I think that it is dangerous

  • I just cemented the first section in the ground and then carried each section to the top and put it on. Bolted it and then added the more sections untill I had it 65 feet in the air. I added the antenna and now enjoy TV. no problems unless you dont like heights. It only hurts if you fall. so dont fall . lol

  • I had two friends do what you guys were and the tower fell on a 16,000 volt power line. One pal literally burst into flames and the tower melted into two pieces. The other friend would have died except his wife was a paramedic and saved him.

  • I knew that was going to happened! :D That was funny.

One of you guys could have been in the roof with a rope to hold up the tower while the other 2 could have been raising it.

  • I responded without watching the server video. I looked at the video and that's exacly what you guys did. Nice JOB!

  • LOL this is exactly how i was going to raise mine.

Thanks for saving me some grief!

  • Do it properly. Use a ginpole.

  • I think half the problem is trying to walk it uphill.

  • Very true. That made it worse no doubt.

  • Next time take the tower on the roof and drop it into place.....You just slide the tower down to the ground and have 2 men on the roof and 1 on the ground, I raised a 50 Foot tower using this method and it is safe and it works !

  • "You drop this on my head I'm gonna be mad" LOL !

  • Reminded me of one summer up at North Fort Hood when I was training the National Guard. An RC-292 antenna, which at most should have taken 2 soldiers to raise, took over 10 people. LOL.

  • funny video , especially at the end when you were all laying in the yard with the dog barking. he he !

  • That was funny, you should have used a rope, but hey I guess I would have tried it that way also.

  • LOL on an otherwise crappy morning. I would have tried it that way first also.

  • HE HE HE we raaised one in our yard about 13 years ago it's still up all in one shot. used ropes and a tree and 2 pivet points .now that is what you should have done lol.

  • Yea, we raised 3 or 4 bigger ones about 30 years ago always using the ropes, but we thought this small one would go up without a rope. WRONG. ;-)
