haha i rememeber my t-ball team in kindergarten and the coach for the opposite team had his son who was too old play with them and he would crank balls in over our heads. its funny now but back then it pissed me off
Our 5-6 yr olds play coach pitch tball with a ball that is almost as hard as a little league ball. both teams have coaches in the field. No outs, everyone bats. 4 innings or 90 minutes. Everyone has a good time.
I have been an umpire for 8 years now. I have done 4 year old Tball all the way up to 13 year old kid pitch.. I've tossed 2 coaches in those 7 years both coming from Tball. Parents that dont know the game getting mad about their kid getting hurt or thrown out at the plate. Lol
@BestMusicExpert I umpired T-Ball when I was 12 some 35 years ago. Never had anyone say anything but 'thank you' to me, as it should be. Arguing at a T-ball game should get you banned from kid's sports for life. You are right there is no real need for a judge, but as part of the teaching experience having one allows you to teach children to respect game officials and listen to their instruction. Anyone who tarnishes this lesson is not helping children learn good sportsmanship.
In little Leauge All Stars We Int Walked the Other teams Coaches Son Because he was a Stud, and there was 2 outs with Runners on 1st and Second in Bottom of the 7th. The Next Guy Came up with Basses Loaded and he hit a dribbler to First for the last Out and We won Bye 1. There Coach was Mad. They Argued and Cried about it at home plate as we packed up and walked off with are Trophy's. We didn't do anything wrong, that's Baseball.
I don't know how t-ball is there, but we don't even keep score. Are there real rules? ? You have 15 kids in the field of play and when someone hits the ball, they all go after it. Pleeeeze! ! ! Let the kids have their moment. ..
@dturnerjr64 yeah, I know...and the thing was...these kids were like 3-4 year olds so really, do the rules even matter? I mean, this is just for them to learn the basics!
Idoits a t-ball game are you serious? I coach and umpire and to argue at the little league level is pointless. People doing this in any league should be removed from coaching.
This is where it starts. The parents/coaches getting more worked up than the kids. 20 years from now the kids wont remember who won or lost, just how the adults acted. These kids are only thinking about what kind of snack they are going to get after the game. Its just ankle-biter ball..geez... Im sure all those Dads out there are up for "Parent Of The Year" award. Great example Dads! And it will only get worse...
Seriously, this is a T-Ball game! You have to be kidding me, we are having disputes in a T-ball game. Everybody bats, everybody plays, they shouldn't even have umpires for t-ball. This is stupid, anyone affiliated with this event should be ashamed of themselves. Chuckfan got it right, the kids don't care if they win or lose, they just want to know if they are getting pizza or ice cream when the game is over. This is just awful.
