One more thing can ppl still get pregnant, I am guessing some can cause families inherting but then the next generations still here and being born I just noticing this cause of the comments. I guessing its probablyalot harder to have one?

I don't have a beard but it's dark little hairs growing on my side lip and darker hairs growing on my chin, I knew i had something wrong with me and it brought me back to the point i felt bad again, and i get those side pains all the time. can anyone relate. Oh and the ironic thing is that i had gotten my period very early like when i was 6. They said i had this adrenal gland thing too.

I am very sad to say i have this, I'am 26 years old. My mom took me to the doctor when i was 6 i found out and heard him say i wouldn't be able to get pregnant my mom always told me that isn't true and don't give up. I didn't really wanna believe it and never knew what i had wrong with me. So i guess it's true and I found out later that alot of hair started to grown on my face when i was in highschool and i had irregular periods then by college which is somewhat now its getting worse,

I have PCOS too but isn't diarreah and stomach pains part of it too, I'm also on medication for it too though.

This video has helped me realize that I am 80% sure that I have pcos and I'm only sixteen. I dont know what to do, am I old enough to go to the doctors on my own without my parents knowing, and also can it cause hormonal imbalances?

My mother was diagnosed with PCOS. Recently, I received a book from her about the condition, because she thinks I may have it. I have almost every symptom on this video, except for the dark ring, skin tags, and the buffalo hump. I am not overweight...but I am very active...it takes a lot to keep my weight down. I really have to watch what I eat, and I'm only 20. I go to the doctor in a week to see if will be diagnosed with it. I'm terrified. :(

I also have this since i was 13..im 37 now and barely found out. If you have this please stay away from alchohol!!! Especially right before your period. Ive had episodes of extreme mood swings when ive been drinking right before my period. And i know im not an achoholic. Thank God for the support of my husband and family,because without them this syndrome would prob make me crazy for sure!

I'm 15 and I'm worrying about PCOS....I'm 5'10 and very thin so I know being weight gain isn't a problem. I don't have any skin problems either...besides acne on my back and I am quite hairy, its horrible having to pluck and shave everynight so you won't be teased at school. Also, I have CRAZY painful periods. Should I worry about PCOS or am I just generally hairy :( Its so worrying

i got told that i have got pcos because i have been trying for a baby for 10 years and had to have a hsg now i am waiting to seea doc now to see what he is going to do if any one has been though this can u let me no what happens when u see the doc thanks

@itsADACYlove Yes im happy to say that i have 2 children and both pregnancies happened right after i stopped taking my birth control pills. And this was before i was even diagnosed with pcos.

After watching that I would question if I had it as have about 65% of the symptoms, but I have 2 kiddies so I doubt it!

Great video! I would add that a PCOS ovary often has a ring or MANY cysts surrounding the ovary - often referred to as a 'peal necklace'.

Also -unfortunately the stats are actually much higher with PCOS affecting about 1 in 10 women.

Well, I'm thinking about redoing this video anyways since youtube is being difficult with the sound issues... so I'll research the statistics more. However, I do know alot of women that have PCOS that don't have cysts...myself I only had 2.

You are totally right. Not all women with PCOS have cysts like I described. I believe you qualify for PCOS if you have at least 2 of the 3 main characteristics. I believe the 3 characteristics are: 1) polycystic ovaries - like the pearl necklace. 2) physical characteristics, like hirutulism, acne, overweight ect. 3) annovulation/ wacky periods caused by hormonal imbalances. I myself have all 3. But you only need to have 2 of the 'characteristics' to qualify as a PCOSer.

I havent yet been tested for PCOS yet, but i think i may have it, i have every symptom listed here, when i go back to canada in 3 weeks i will be tested , and sadly im 90% sure ill be told i have PCOS...

thanks for watching Sherleelee.. also make sure that they do a cortisol test for Cushings Disease as it is VERY similar to PCOS and sometimes gets mistaken for eachother....best of luck to ya!

thanks for posting this...its difficult to explain to some people about pcos. I have been DX since 2006 and been TTC off and on since then..but i appreciate this video as it gives other a better idea of what PCOS looks like. Thank you!

thank you Alisha! It was kind of tough for me to show off these pictures as most of these symptoms are horribly embarrasing (especially the dark ring around my neck) but, if it helps someone else to get a proper diagnosis than its worth it to me!
