  • You missepelled "camouflage". ;-)

  • green screen

  • nano cameras and screens all over a something is the only way i can think that this type of stuff is possible. this is just asian trickery btw lol

  • OOOMMMGGG!!!! its just a green screen people.....

  • PURA MENTIRA, TRUCO BARATO DE CAMARA.

  • what the fuck

  • would you sell that technology to me for $1000000000000000000 cash

  • They not only inventive, they also in after effects to work are able!

  • im buying it

  • this is just a method, not technology break through.

  • people, its obvious that it has a projector, its a invention that uses a projector, that's the invention. Its not that is fake, it uses a camera and special clothes to project what the camara is recording

  • then why isn't it projecting it on his face or hands???

  • because its only projected on special objects, clothes , etc

  • hahahah you're right!! I believed that crap... i'm really stupid :P

  • ok, the first two were quite believable, this one doesn't seem real.. why doesn't the head appear?, on the jacket it makes sense, but this does not... i don't understand, call me an idiot...

  • i think the same, for me this video have something strange...when the guy move the sphere his face must be seen behind...but this doesn't happened. Why????

  • because this is obviously unreal, and technology haven't reached that in 2006

  • It is justa a fke. If that object were really invisible, we should have seen the man's face not the bookcase...

Japans aren't as smart as they thought ^^

  • its is kinda wierd, but thats what its supposed to do, because if you could see the mans face then it dosent make you invisible. but i still dont know how theey do that lol.

  • Just chroma key

  • Hehe of course it's fake, his head disappears when he passes the ball in front of him and you see straight through the back. It's nice compositing dats all well almost lol.

  • it's fake: If you pause it on exactly 0:28 as he is barely walking off the screen, u can tell that the projector is slightly smaller than the zoom of the lens. It's all projected before the camera lens.

  • exactly what I saw...

  • esque lacámara estaba drogada

  • ai wey, para mi ke la única tecnología es que usan dos cámaras, ponen un video con mas transparencia que otro.

  • No mamen eso noe sposibles es truco de camara si fuese asi serian millonarios

  • so why is the link for time magazine gone?

all fake i want some facts!

  • Idiot,

"Oh my gawd! It must be magic! Or fake because I don't understand or do simple research!"

Its Retro-Reflective material and a Projector.

  • they're shining a light on the suit or whatever the camoflage thing is

at the very end u can see the end side of the projector

    lol

its just a projector showing the other side of the person or brick or object

i don't think its microcameras and stuff

  • its nanotechnology

  • this is real.i saw quite a bit about it and it works. im still not sure how it works though. how does it know what to 'make invisible' and what not to?also, this was first designed for operating theaters to show bones quickly in an operation.its all real people, get over it. this is like the people who get all IT NEVER HAPPENED over the moon landing.just people who need attention. run around with just a tutu with a duck on your head and a frying pan with an egg in it.that will get you attention.

  • Oh You Sad People. Get Over Yourselves With Your Stupid Long Words. ITS AN INVISIBLE HOODIE & ITS AMAZING :D Stop Trying To Be Clever You Retards :D Loll :D

  • this is a fiber optic tech that has micro cameras

  • seriously man you r right i saw it b4 its the camera that capture the image then it project it into the INVISIBLE HOODie ..it a fact..

  • Obviously some people here don't get the scope of the experiment (ie. what's going on)

This isn't about making something "see through" (general understanding of "invisible") but making something ultra-reflective so that when an image is projected, it appears real (this would later be incorporated into an "invisible" suit)

  • this is bull just a projector projecting an image(on the background as well) and the (sphere, brick, jacket are all coated with same reflective material giving the illusion of being invisable nice try lmao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It would still be helpful though

if they can find a useful way to be able

to project the projection in a large area.

It could be put to good use.

  • if this was real we would be able to see your fingers throug the ball when u roll it about in your hand its just a projector weak..! i know it has been invented but this isnt it i mean look at the jacket its hardly state of the art it just reflects light good making it look stealth..

  • Actually, layman's terms would be: "'You're' full of it", seeing as most "laymen" have passed 3rd grade English.

  • nice comeback - attack a typo. are you ready to explain your moronic statement yet? you seem to have made a similar mistake in 3rd grade: 'yoruself' ?!1

for starters; 'First, who the hell are you?' - right back atcha - since when did anybody have to explain thier identity before posting a comment?

you tried to explain the validity of the video using a random assumption about what he was expecting us to believe (u sound like a creationist), before doing any background research. retarded.

  • Yay For Green Screen...

  • Think it's kind of fake. Why didnt it show up the man's face instead of the book shelf ?

  • +1, this is def a fake. It WOULD show his face if it were real.

  • And that transparent concrete... TOTALLY DOCTORED OMG.

  • If it was real when he moves things in front of his face you'd see his face instead of the background. Obvious greenscreen

  • This is a modified video projector beaming an image of what's behind the person onto a micro-bead surface. The claim is that it is an invisibility cloak when, in fact it is nothing more than the illusion of invisibility. There has to be a video camera behind the "invisible" element and the projector must be in line with the viewer. There is nothing amazing about that...it's a damn movie screen, nothing more!

  • haha i love it everyone says its fake, but its not, just shows how skeptic and ill-prepared people are for the FUTURE

  • And some people are so blind to their dreams of technological advancements, they'll believe anything without questioning it's legitimacy.

Oh and by the way, I gotta brand new teleporter to sell you. I wouldn't lie to you.

  • one question for you... if it was real, how would it know to block out his face and hands, but not the wall?

scientists have cloaking technology, but they have only been able to cloak things the size of a quarter so far.

  • Two things:

Why must the background be static?

If this is supposed to be truly invisible, he should appear behind the object.

This is absolutely a fraud. Take it to the bank.

  • Oh wow, I'm sure the person who "made" this video NEVER thought about that brilliant statement beforehand...

if anything, the fact he DOESN'T appear behind it would make it even more authentic... as anyone with enough skills to "fake" this effect would have inevitably already thought of what you said.

  • So what you're saying is that because it looks like a fraud, it must be real. You're a true genius!

  • Don't really expect a person named "funkeyfreshjive" to understand what I'm saying... so I'll explain in layman's terms:

If it was "made", the man would obviously know that his face SHOULD show since that is what most people would think would happen, if he didn't he would have known stupid people like yourself would assume it is fake, and if it WERE a fake, that is exactly what he WOULDN'T want, therefore he would have been sure to include his face for idiots like yoruself.

  • tw0k1ngs, I don't think anything about the video is faked. What I'm saying is THE CLOAK IS BOGUS. If that's how it's supposed to work, then wtf? You are not seeing through it, your seeing a projected image of the background on it. It's not any technology to get a hard-on about...video projectors have been around a long time. If you really think that's an invisibility cloak, go ahead and believe it. You probably believe there's a Death Star too.

  • oh, and:

"Don't really expect a person named "funkeyfreshjive" to understand what I'm saying... so I'll explain in layman's terms"

what you explained was some convoluted psycho-babble about psychology - nothing to do with science.

although i wouldnt expect some called 'tw0k1ngs' to understand that, so let me put that in layman's terms: YOUR FULL OF IT.

  • First, who the hell are you? Second, you would be surprised how much "psychology" there is behind science. Science without theory is meritless.

  • Can you say green screen.

gah. this is sooo fake I could do it.

  • This is real material and this is a real video. There is absolutely nothing fake about this. This is not a trick. Wow you guys are stuck in colonial times if you can't believe our next advancements in technology. Please do research before calling this a fake. There is no green screen involved and this has been out for 3 years (obviously not to the public)..

  • Yep he's right.I read this in a time Magazine when I was in 5th grade. They said it was suppose to come out in 2008

  • okay fine, its not really invisible, but i bet you'd kill to own one

  • you guys are obviously not bowlers. its not green screen idiots. its done with a camera and a projector.

google active camo and you'll find everything

  • just usin g the green screeen

  • OK, DONT THINK IN EFFECTS, JUST SEE THE FACE OF THIS GUY, HES LAUGHING, LOOK WHERE IS HE, IN A LIBRARAY OR KIND OF, WHAT IS HE DOING THERE WITH AN INVISIBILITY COAT? THIS TECHNOLOGY EXISTS, BUT THIS VIDEO IS FAKE, HE IS LAUGHING, BESIDES, THE COAT WAS MAKING SHADOWS

  • He is the one who invented this material in the first place. I'd be smiling and happy too to finally get to show it off. This is a historic type of discovery.

  • if you think of it its doable. having an image projected on the ball which has solid structure, just have to position the camera behind his hear or pre-capture the background image into the pc and then project it. its harder with moving background

  • this is just the blue screen...it is impossible while he is holding the ball, we should see his head if the ball is invisible. But now we see the things behind his head.

  • Is this the subtraction effect they use on movies and the weathercast?

  • That is a fake! Where is his face, ha?
