  • Getting one of these in a few months, can't wait :)

  • this guitar is for RIFFS and heavy scales like Kirk plays these are not exactly made for normal chords fair enough it will play them but this is a heavy metal guitar and is wicked. the EMGs are sweet sounding. i get mine in 2 weeks cant wait there awsome guitars

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 They aren't real EMG's in this one, they're Chinese pickups made by ESP that say ESP-EMG on them, I wasn't a fan but it's all about opinion. I hope you enjoy it.

  • @jaiwook63 well ye i suposse every1 like diffrent guitars but thx anyways

  • do u recommend it i have a doubt abt the floyd tremelo

  • @shreesha1234 Honestly it was an ok guitar bu the floyd was a hellish experience, I'm glad I had it and got the experience out of it, but if you have doubts about the floyd don't got for it it's a pain in the ass unless you really want one. ESP's are great though, the Eclipse's are awesome, everything they make is great.

  • I have this guitar it's awesome!

  • What amp is that? + Tuning? That guitar sounds much better than the ltd kh202 i have...

  • @K1rkHammet the tuning is standard (which I never use anymore the closest I come to that now is c# standard) and it's a shitty little 50 watt Line 6 spider, it's so old that it doesn't even have a number it's just a spider haha.

  • @jaiwook63 is there anyway you could fix the flyd rose problems? or you just have to buy a new one?

  • @d3athr3b4l well really the problems that I experienced just stemmed from me not being prepared for the amount of work that goes into using and maintaining a Floyd. The thing I would do now if I had one to cut down on problems would be to block off the tremolo so it can only go down and not be able to pull up, that means that whenever you go to tune and unlock the nut it won't go out of tune and you won't spend hours tuning up the guitar after you replace the strings.

  • @K1rkHammet is your a proper ESP? kirk hammett or is it a LTD copy if its real u should of payed around £500 for it

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 I don't know, bought it from a Russian , and you know russians XD (He is a russian immigrant living in Norway so he's OK)

  • @K1rkHammet lol ;) ye just got to be careful with the fakes cause some are just replicas from like japan, but if its from a store u know your safe

  • @SeGaSaTuRn1994 People don't really fake ESP's or LTD's and ESP's are made in Japan, the LTD's which are still kick ass guitars and really great values are made in central Asia, I forget the specific country.

  • It doesnt work on mine! I lock those stupid shits but they get untuned 24 7! WTf are the "fine tuners" at the bottom? I've had my guitar for almost a year now

  • @K1rkHammet That's weird. Make sure the screws in the nut aren't stripped and if not take it to your local shop or better yet plan a voyage to guitar center. and the fine tuners are to tune the guitar once the nut is locked, but don't expect much range out of them if you're more than a step out of tune you're going to have to unlock the nut, what I used to do is when I tune it make sure the fine tuners are screwed as far down as possible and tune the big tuners a bit sharp.

  • @jaiwook63 I have a line 6 spider iv 75 w and I just bought new strings (ive had the same since like octobre '10 xD) Hopefully these will sound better.

  • @K1rkHammet Wait can you get the entire guitar in tune then lock the nut and after you play for awhile it's out of tune or does it not tune period?

  • i have the same guitar and the exact same strap thats creepy :D

  • it's not called a "super nut" it's called a locking nut...

  • @TasteForDisaster This I know... I call it the super nut!

  • @jaiwook63 oh and hey, no offense but the music for the intro thing doesn't sound good at all, what were you trying to do? was it the sound of a dying cat being eaten by a rabid squirrel who had his tail ripped of during a vicious fight with a bald eagle who flew away from his owner into the wild in search of his beloved falcon only to be betrayed by the hamster who once took a shit on a guitar which goes by the name of esp ltd kh-202.

  • @TasteForDisaster ... yes

  • @TasteForDisaster No but really it's just some shit little thing I recorded 3 years ago with my first guitar (not this one) in garage band. I didn't have anything to put in the intro so I just threw that in. I assure you I'm better than that now (btw I love creativity in an insult, kudos!).

  • @jaiwook63 yea, i was kinda bored so i somehow spent the 30 seconds coming up with that :\

  • im new 2 guitar and i wanna buy an electric guitar which plays metal ( up 2 500 U.S dollars) what guitar do u think i should buy ?? btw kirk hammet is my favorite guitarist soo i want 2 buy his guitar

  • @nme123killer KH 2

  • can u take the whammy off? cuz im lookin for a good sounding guitar but i hate whammys

  • @Superninjasam I'm with you man, I hate whammy's but no. go for a les paul or another ESP with a hard tail on it, most of them in this price range without a whammy will sound a-lot better. even check ebay I bet you could find one with EMG's for around this price.

  • what would u suggest to but ?? this guitar or the esp ltd alexi 200 signature ?? which is better for playing metal ??

  • @sykhophaunt7 For me personally if I had to choose between the 2 I'd go with a les paul... just kidding. but really me personally I'd go with the Hammett because I'm guessing your looking at the lower end Alexi one and for about the same price in the kirk hammett you get a neck pick up. I use the neck pick up for alot of shred stuff and to get the creamy master of puppets slow solo. I honestly can't see myself playing a guitar with only 1 pickup. But it's all personal preference.

  • @jaiwook63 thanks ...

  • Man , is a good guitar . Like a second guitar???

  • @riotcstrike yes if you want something with a whammy bar this is a good second guitar. but if you want to go this route I would suggest looking at some Ibanez's before buying this one.

  • @jaiwook63 Now i have a ibanez grg121 , i'm looking for a second guitar

  • @riotcstrike well if you like the ibanez than look at other ones with tremolo's on them and if you want something with a bit chunkier neck than ESP is a good choice it all depends on personal preference. I sat go to guitar center and just try all the guitars u can

  • battery @ 4:00

  • I had my action on it adjusted at guitar center. A few days later it needed adjusted again. Makes it harder to play when the strings are a mile off the fretboard.

  • @c197373 action was never a problem for me. was there a problem with the floyd rose?

  • im about to but this guitar but just wondering how big is the space between the strings and the frets. ?

  • @Glenniiee The action (the distance between the strings and the board) was pretty decent there where no problems with it that I can recall.

  • man I love your guitar but come on clean it.

  • @ESPLTDSMITHY ya like I said the finish makes it look uber dirty haha but I never cleaned it because right after this review I scrapped it for parts.

  • AM I EVIL @ 5:27 :)

  • what is the difference between active and passive EMG?

  • @rrgert4 the actives have much more bite and power to them and all around in my opinion sound better. but of course some people prefer the passives (i.e. alexi laiho). So it really comes down to taste but IMO the actives have a-lot more power push and over all tone than the passives.

  • @jaiwook63

and can i guess that one of them are more expensive too :D say the passive ? if you think they were better (excuse my english)

  • @rrgert4 the passives are cheaper, a normal pair of active emg's will run you about 200 dollars (100 each) but the new EMGx's which give you a more organic passive sound with the power and punch of an active goes for about 120 each. I have an 89X that coil splits that I'm putting into a guitar and I can't wait to hear how it sounds. And your english is very good.

  • @jaiwook63

haha thanks, yeaah i cant wait to hear sound just of my humbuckers on my new guitar which im buying tomorrow.. it hasnt emgs but its a step up from single coil mic on a cheap strat, and the new is esp ltd m50 :D (gonna put eMG on it sometime )

  • Threre are so many guitars recorded on youtube that sound bad because of crap chinese webcam microphones.

  • @SpinnGuitar I know at the the time I had no means of recording but now I have a hook up. I would re-record this but sadly I scrapped this guitar for parts.

  • @jaiwook63 i got a kirk wah pedal sounds freakin awesome. check out my sample vid

  • @SpinnGuitar ya I really wanted one of those but I could only afford the cheaper cry baby, it still sounds great especially for the price.

  • should i take it back and get a guitar with emg active pick ups is it worth it

  • @MASTERMARK360 well really it all depends on personal preference I personally have les paul loaded with an 85 in the bridge and a 60 in the neck (there's a video on my channel of me using it with an 81 in the bridge). They sound amazing and they are really more versatile than people say. in fact I disassembled this one kept the only thing I really liked about which was the neck and am gonna put it on an explorer body and load up an emg 89X and 81. so in conclusion any guitar with actives > this

  • the clean setting sounds like your amp is submerged in water...

  • @logalog4236 ya that's the chorus for some reason my mic really made it sound louder than it was. to me it made the differences between the pickups clearer. my bad

  • Can you reach high frets?

  • @96lolstar yes there was no big problem reaching the higher frets.

  • @jaiwook63 Wow I thought that was the problem like other bolt ons

  • @96lolstar well it's a bolt on so it's not as good as like a high end ibanez but it wasn't a huge problem for me I had the access I needed. My best advice for it though is t get out to a guitar center or someplace and play one.

  • You played the BATTERY bad !

    GREAT GUITAR !

  • i love the super nut

  • does this guitar have any bzzuing anywhere after u change strings (with same guage strings) or out of box ?

  • @card1100 No there was no really big noticeable buzzing. I got it used but with the floyd the action was perfect.

  • too much talking.

  • @bluehappyscrap Sorry

  • @bluehappyscrap There was originally more playing but I had to cut it for time. Had there not been a 10 minute time limit there would have been alot more playing

  • you are very very lucky man. i wish i had that guitar.

  • nice vid...however for the love of all that is metal please learn the battery riff!

  • @mbd303030 Sorry that is one of the few riffs I learned by ear. And as you can see I don't have the best ears.

    I've gotten better at it.

  • It's a LICKING NUT FOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @phonz0 I know it's a locking nut, sorry I didn't make that clear. I just call it a super nut.

  • @Xedokai THANK YOU!!!!!! I have been waiting for someone to post a pointless comment saying I'm mentally challenged and or homosexual. That makes the video legit I'm going to save this thank you so much.

    Don't you just love trolls?

  • Good review, gives some useful info!

  • why is the real tremolo better?

  • @polishskaterdude32 well personally when I used an original floyd on an esp at guitar center is just felt amazing and as far as I understand it's made with better materials because mine jams up sometime which although a minor inconvenience turns into a huge pain in the ass (theres alot of those) and it's started to rust in a few spots which is either the horrid humidity I get here during summer or cheap metals. Just my oppinion I've heard people say licensed are better.

    Thanks for Watching!

  • @jaiwook63 thank u dude! u really helped me!

  • @polishskaterdude32 my pleasure, happy to help!

  • The chorus is way more apparent in the video than it sounds when your sitting right next to it I apologize for that I should have had no chorus at all.

  • Sounds good

  • Cool review thnx
