No problem: It comes from an old norwegian tale I guess you can call, where the main person always end up winning the princess and half the kingdom.. and here in Norway we combine that feeling with fiddles, so Alexander is like the main person who starts with nothing, but by "sacrifising" the princess, he still won half-the kingdom! :D

And Bettan is just the nickname for a very popular swedish/norwegian artist Elisabeth... so Bettan as in elisaBETH.. get it? :p I suck at explaning

I'll try it the short way..

In Norway there are several folk-tales or fairytales about three brothers going out to do

assignments to win the princess and half the kingdom :p In every story, the youngest brother (Askeladden) always wins.. Alexander is known as Norway's Askeladden, because of the fiddle, but he lost his girlfriend/princess, but by losing her he wrote the song that captured half the kingdom :)
