  • DUUUUDE YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU!!!!!!! YOU CARRY THE FIRE!! AWESOME VIBES MAN!!!! MUCH LOVE FROM ATLANTA :)

  • Nice! I love the conjunction of the two worlds: african yoruba culture and bonzo's heavy drumming! Congrats on your interesting kit, keep it up. Where are you located? I live in México and have a World Music band called Mantis Khan. You can look us up in You tube, of coures. Greetings from Javier Sosa in México City.

  • nice stuff. good to see you play again.

  • Nice kit dude. I bet it'd be hard to circular breath, play didj and keep that up! LOL Bravo

  • Amazing! Very impressive improvisational freedom, along with that steady clave. Well done, Well done. I gotta hear that again. Peace

  • Awesome!!!!!

  • Hey, man, I'm surprised I didn't see this groove sooner...you're cookin' as always, and I dig the two-tone shells on those Volcanos...

Keep the beat goin', brother! YEAH!!!

  • Very Nice

  • ...importance is all in how it sounds, and it sounds GREAT ! RESPECT to your talents.

  • maximo respeto jajajaja

  • wow, very impressive!

  • I also read about you in Modern Drummer, it's great to see/hear you play these drums, after only seeing an photo in the magazine. Great creativity/talent.

  • This is so incredible! I read about you in Modern Drummer, and I'm floored! Also, you play as amazingly as your kit looks :)

  • 6/8 with the clave 3-2?

  • Yes, it is a 6/8 3-2 clave. It has been notated in several books including 'Salsa! The Rhythm of Latin Music.'

With six to the bar, the beats fall on 1, 3, and 6 in the first measure, and on 2 and 4 in the second.

  • The clave you are describing is the Rumba Clave, but the clave you are playing is the Son Clave (with beats on 1, 3, 5 of first measure, and 2, 4 of the second measure)

    sounds great :)

  • Yes, you are right.

    You have a good ear!

  • Really. fine. drumming. Muddy lows on the soundtrack, dunno if that's from my craptop or not, though.

  • Very Nice!

  • respect

  • this guy's the epitome of percussionist.

  • impressive footwork my friend

  • Baba would be proud. Way to go.

I heard you doing gun godogodo gun godo and

gun godo gun godo gun godogodo gun godo.

I played gungodo (12x) and godo patapata (6 times)along on jembe. Fun

The first time Baba heard me play was on the congas and my hands were purple.

I went to africa 4 times with Baba. Baba and his small (6 piece) band performed an African wedding ceremony for my wife, Latifa and I in front of 120 guests.

  • amazing!! the coordination you need!!

    very ver impressive!

i play congas and my band does a 6/8 piece!

this is the best/most original one man band i have ever seen!

  • Very cool man. Good for you.
