Ram was recorded this way. basic track at scotland farm... then additional recording was done later in the studio. this was 1970... we're almost 40 years later now. it's very easy to do it. all needed is a multitrack recording program. a recording-sound card, mixer, 90 dollar mic, and you're all set. don't forget you need the knowledge!

That's the biggest question in my mind about this whole legend: why let Paul live but let John and George die? The Beatles fans of the 60's were there in the 70's, 80's and onward to today (not to mention the addition of new fans within new generations. The profitability of the Beatles has done nothing but increase since 1970, and the money to be had from reunions would have been reason enough to replace John and George, if such a thing were possible.

that's not my point...
LODGE says it's impossible to create a full studio quality recording at home... while a studio isn't really required.
Ram was recorded this way. basic track at scotland farm... then additional recording was done later in the studio. this was 1970... we're almost 40 years later now. it's very easy to do it. all needed is a multitrack recording program. a recording-sound card, mixer, 90 dollar mic, and you're all set. don't forget you need the knowledge!

not really, just muting her voice. it's a matter of cut & paste the "Shoes, that's what you gotta choose" onto the multitrack-mixer's timeline...
if paul & that woman were talking at the same time it would have been a lot harder. though it would still be possible.
also, in 1882 (iamaphoney version), you can hear the original piano playing in the background. though it only can be heard when paul is singing.
