I make the snow at cypress and believe me if we had temps We would be making guys they don't put a 9 million dollar system in for it to sit around. As well none of you know what your talking about. You Can man snow at 5.1 c just need 0 percent humidity. But by all means if you think you can make snow up here before I could your partially retarted. Leave it for the pro's boys
I see convoy's of these tandem dump trucks all day going between manning park and cypress. Wonder what this is going to cost after all is said and done.
No shit! It's really really sad that government claims no monies are available for [whatever, whenever], but to move fucking snow hundreds of miles? Pull the cash out of a fucking toque.
A friend of mine who does trucking figures its at least $1000 per trip, 2 trips a day with 100 trucks on the road for a minimum of $200 000 per day for this. Then there is the helicopter use etc. Now this would be with reasonable rates and not the likely grossly inflated olympic buddy deal so you can probably figure double it.
They can make snow up there when the temperature falls below 6 degrees C in town - that's about freezing up there. It also melts during the day when temps are above 6 degrees here in town.
because good snow isn't just frozen water. the same reason they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars per snow making machine, and not just mount a fire house on a tripod overlooking the crest of a hill.
Nice peterbilt 389.

@puppetjaw OK, so why don't they put some tent, refrigerate it, produce the snow and distribute it.
