  • is this what you work on ?

  • what kind of brush do you use for the stripes? (:

  • thankyou sooo much!!

i used this at my school fate when i was incharge of the face painting, and i was the most popular girl there! XD I.L.Y.!!

  • I became an instant fan about a month ago. You have the most detailed and clear videos with easy to follow instructions. You are making a professional out of me. lol. This is one of my favorite videos so far and I have already tried most of them.

  • 2:29 MUSTACHE

  • Is it ok to use just one colour...like Orange because i haven't got a cake like that...or any at all. would you think it would still look alright?

  • I love it, but it does look more like the TAG Pearl rainbow instead of the Neon cake.

  • @iamginaw The TAG pearl rainbow is a lot darker :)

  • P.s just checked...I have the DFX neon split cake in my case... Not used it yet!! ;o) hahahaha it has a purpose now!!! Thank you lots lol

  • @s1lverLaydee Awesome! I'm glad you have a use for it now! :)

  • My speciality seems to be at the moment Tigers lol I've done different colours and I've not tried the split cakes yet but always up for a challenge lol You do make all your designs look easy lol Love seeing what you do next ;o)

  • I'm just starting out and for some reason can't get my black lines to be as smooth and opaque as yours hard to explain what I mean but when I do a line halfway through painting the line the black runs out if that makes sense. Then I just get a dry looking skidd looking line (best way I can explain, sorry) I tried using more water or even less water nothing seems to work!

  • @MissRuthless I think you need to try using more water, and then take time to really work the water into the paint. If you use more water, and don't work it in, you'll just end up with a runny consistency that drips on the face, but if you really work the paint into the water, you'll have a nice opaque and thin (but not too thin) consistency that lasts a lot longer on your brush.

  • Can you do a teddy bear or something that uses the teddy bear cake???

  • @mommydearest2007 I don't have the teddy bear cake, but if I ever get it I'll definitely make a tutorial using it

  • Hi Lisa, first let me say I have learned a ton from watching your videos. Our church does a community carnival each year and I was assigned face painting this time around, I got so many compliments about your designs. Thanks so much. I did have a question though would you buy a "regular" rainbow cake or a neon rainbow cake first?

  • @jriches I'm not a fan of "regular" rainbow cakes because I think, in most cases, the colors are too harsh to use as backgrounds, so I would go with the neon. But, I think the most flattering are the pastel rainbow cakes. If you could get your hands on one, I'd go for that first :)

  • @lisajoyyoung Thanks I will look for a pastel one. :-)

  • this is very nice, but isn't it a little bit stupid to have makeup under it???

  • @miriam725100 The only reason I have makeup on under the tiger is because I filmed this at night and that was the makeup I had on all day. Obviously, if you (or whoever you're painting) don't already have makeup on, you would just paint over a bare face.

  • @lisajoyyoung aha ok. Whatever you are very good in what you do;) Is this your profession?

  • Hello Lisa, where you buy the trousse of colors you see in the second 0:20?

    Thank you, you're very good!

  • @TonyEvo It's the TAG neon rainbow cake and you can get it at facepaintforum (dot com)

  • Please keep us all posted if you open a store...what a wonderful idea!

  • I'm having trouble finding Loewe Cornell Brushes...any suggestions? Love this rainbow tiger a lot! Our local university (Auburn..War Eagle!) are tigers and I have a cake made in their colors...can't wait to try this for game days!

  • @tigernette1 Silly farm sells the Loew Cornell golden edge brushes. The comfort brushes are really hard to find, but I'm hoping to open a store in the next couple of months and I'll definitely be selling them :)

  • Wow thats great y love your desings

  • Great Design Lisa, thanks for sharing...

  • I know your busy with ur new baby and once again congrats but do u think u can maybe make quick short videos on how to learn different strokes. You like for tiger spiders different kinds of flowers etc.. Please it would help out alot.

  • Buying more white paint. Have only used Wolfe white, but watched your product review- which one do you think does better line work? Dfx or Wolfe? Thanks

  • @brandyfairbank Both Wolfe and DFX are awesome paints, but after doing a side by side comparison, DFX's white is definitely a bit brighter.

  • Thank you

  • May i ask where do u buy your diamond fx makeup?

  • @jelly88 facepaintforum (dot com) is a great place to get it, and I think they're having a sale right now :)

  • This is beautiful Lisa. Thanks again! However most if my moms and dads are totally fine with a boy getting hearts and rainbows:)

  • this looks great, now to remember how you did it!! Super job as always. Thank you.

  • @Monste3070 thanks so much! I will defenintly try that. I admit, derivan isn't thy good, it's like a liquid. But I will have a look on the Internet and message you soon.

  • @lisajoyyoung thanks! Thats helped me. Love your vids. Hey where could yu gett the sponges?

  • great as always:)

  • I'm always waiting your videos with excitement what a great artist you are...

  • extra:)

  • where do you buy your paints from?

  • @blondyshoop facepaintforum (dot com) is a great place!

  • uve have been one of my main Face painting teachers thanx so much i wanna give back so im starting my channel for DIY stuff please sub my first one will b on a super quick hair bow for any age baby-adult:) coming soon

ps i have lots of secret tips i reveal all about the "special thread"

  • @Montse3070 i live in melbourne too,and get my derivan paints from spoghtlight. And sometimes i use actual PAINT brushes. But i would much prefer real facepaint brushes. Also, would you happen to know where i could get those sponges? Thanks

  • @CrystalColours00 Hi! The brushes I use are actually high quality acrylic/water color brushes. I've tried some Paradise brushes and wasn't a fan, so I've stayed away from "face painting" brushes ever since. But, I've recently heard that the Mark Reid brushes are pretty great. I've never tried them, but if you want to order some face painting brushes I would probably get those :)

  • @CrystalColours00 Firstly, if you're going to get serious about face painitng you should change paints! Derivan is awful . . . try TAG which you can get in OZ. I love Paradise but they are expensive here and I buy them from overseas as I do DFX and Wolfe.

Paint brushes from Spotlight & Art Riot are ok but Lowell Cornell are my favourite along with Mark Reid (overseas purchase) Private message me and I will be able to give you more details.

  • This is amazing! One of my favourites of yours, Lisa! :)

  • Is glitter generally just used for girls, or are there designs where you can use it for boys too?

  • @0Bebo313 I only put glitter on the girls, but if a boy requests glitter I happily put it on him :)

  • Hey, small question, I was wondering whereyou could get the brushes. I use derivan paint, because I live in Australia and I would rather not get them online. But if I must, any recomendations? Btw I loveyour vids. Awsome great job andyou are very talented!

  • @CrystalColours00 where abouts in Oz? There are heaps of places where you can buy TAG. Message me and i can let you know - I am in Melbourne.

  • I'm a huge fan of animal face painting and love how this video encorporates the rainbow cake! Also greatly appreciate your tips on how to tailor the design to both genders! You rock!

  • Great video! I'm looking forward to trying this soon!

  • luv this tiger .. i have an foster event comming up i new with face painting have any tips ?

  • Love it thanks :)

  • Love it - thank you so much!!

  • Yay!! Thanks Lisa! Sponging my rainbow tigers has been the toughest for me, you showed me the technique now, so hopefully I will do better!
